And the speed up front is still there. Thats the one thing about our top 6, everyone is mobile and even guys like Bozak and Macarthur are strong skaters.

The fact that Kadri is maybe the slowest guy in our top 9 says volumes
****. You're right. Wow - I'm excited.

Montreal will be in huge trouble tonight.

listening to sportsnet radio for some reason and this guy is just bashing the heck out of us.. can we not get a couple games before they dig into how bad we are going to be??

I feel like calling in and saying " Thanks Tips". It's like they act like we haven't seen them play before. Kind of redundant to keep on talking about the same points about this team over and over again. Haven't even heard our first anthem yet and the bashing starts.

This has the potential to get real ugly real fast from top to bottom this is still Brian Burke's train wreck.

As far as the Leafs goaltending goes the league has figured out how to beat Reimer top shelf under the arms and five hole and Scrivens is right off an AHL bus.

The defense is still the soft run around it's own end circus on skates.

The forward group is still without a #1 centre if you can believe that after 4 plus years under Burke.

Collectively it's the same Leafs team that last season pulled off the biggest epic collapse in Leafs history and i believe Burkey hired the wrong coach for this team in Carlyle.

Fasten your seat belts Leafs Nation.

I'm not quite as uncomfortable with the team as you are, I feel they are young and inexperienced, especially in goal but if Reimer can return to his game like he was before his concussion and Scrivens can play goal, like he has in the AHL, I think they can do the job and Carlyle's system will help.

I like the defence this year more than in years past and the guys brought in from the Marlies are all NHL quality and have had some limited NHL experience, mixed in with the returning D, they may be the linchpin of the whole season.

Forwards too are improved and when a good young player like Frattin is playing in the A and not on the Leafs, it means we have a pretty good forward core, with 3 scoring lines and a decent checking line.

Over all I like the new players, can we improve certainly and a #1 center would help but if this team plays up to their potential and embraces Carlyle's system, I think we have a shot at post season.

Time will tell however and it could go either way, in any case......

Go Leafs Go!

too bad about gardiner. i really enjoy how he plays but, without him, that's a rough lookin' back end. i wonder how jvr has come along, and I still hope kadri is going to be the worse player in the nhl.

should be a fun game!

go habs go!

A good game for him is just being invisible, as far as I am concerned. Maybe mix in a couple of hits here and there, but that's about it. Just don't do anything stupid and take dumb penalties. Just be smart.

I heard about viewing parties at Maple Leaf square where they showed the game on the big screen last season, will they do it today?
