Didn't know this about superstitious brown:

Some pretty good stuff on all the players, I didn't know this about Fraser

45. Mark Fraser D

Age: 26

30 GP, 2-3-5, 114 PIM (Marlies AHL)

This year: Ex New Jersey Devil formed Marles’ mosr effective shutdown pair with fellow call-up Korbinian Holzer. Was the Marlies’ policeman after Colton Orr and Jay Rosehill did not return.

Did you know: He is the son of Provincial court judge Hugh Fraser, a former Candain Olympian in track and field.

I have to stalk CBC so i don't miss the Leafs game. (ugh I'd be pissed if I do). i hate living in Calgary most of the time, but especially during HOCKEY SEASON. Thank goodness it's back :) I missed it!

This has the potential to get real ugly real fast from top to bottom this is still Brian Burke's train wreck.

As far as the Leafs goaltending goes the league has figured out how to beat Reimer top shelf under the arms and five hole and Scrivens is right off an AHL bus.

The defense is still the soft run around it's own end circus on skates.

The forward group is still without a #1 centre if you can believe that after 4 plus years under Burke.

Collectively it's the same Leafs team that last season pulled off the biggest epic collapse in Leafs history and i believe Burkey hired the wrong coach for this team in Carlyle.

Fasten your seat belts Leafs Nation.

I came here, on the advice of MoreMogilny, to watch Leaf Rocket freak out like a little girl over the start of the season. Let's see it, LR :D

Collapse implies they were doing well at some point. Maybe they learned from the collapse? That should be enough encouragement. Do you mean the season ugly or this game because no way is Montreal that much better. Ugly games happen but it won't be because of who the Leafs are playing

Guess there's no point in watching if you know the outcome already.

Oh he's got the whole ensemble. Pompoms, tube top, short skirt, platform shoes.

It's a great look.

Thanks for the GDT.

So it's going to be like this:
Lupul - Bozak - Kessel
MacArthur - Grabovski - Kulemin
van Riemsdyk - Kadri - Komarov
Brown - McClement - Steckel

This lineup is tough as nails. Look at the bottom 6. There won't be a Hab player (not bruised up) after this night. To me it looks real hard.
I am so glad Randy Carlyle kept Komarov and gives him a chance. He'll be a quick fan favourite in Toronto.
Also keeping him and Brown seperate is a wise move. Now we have not only one, but TWO tough hard lines that'll will play exciting hockey. Entertaining is also the word for this lineup. In every line there is a hard working player. Lupul in the first, Kulemin in the second, Komarov in the dirty third and Brown in the 4th.

I can't see a way that Habs team can outplay and outwork this lineup. I put some action on the Leafs for sure. There is no chance for Montreal to beat this hard nosed lineup and Carlyle.

Leafs will be tough to beat this season I guarantee it.

And the speed up front is still there. Thats the one thing about our top 6, everyone is mobile and even guys like Bozak and Macarthur are strong skaters.

The fact that Kadri is maybe the slowest guy in our top 9 says volumes

Mother of god....LR there's letting yourself go, then there's that.

On another note. You've got some pasty white skin for an Indian guy.

I always thought the Canadian obsession over doughnuts was a joke started by Strange Brew. LR has challenged my theory with that mighty spare tire.
