They're really trying to awaken any buried offensive potential in this guy.

I have a feeling Kampf starts as the clear 4C in game 1.

I think this training camp, though, has been an intentional exercise to get him to think more offensively and not just be satisfied with backchecking and dumping the puck.

Ya, if it's early on in training camp, sure, throw them in a blender, but being the last game of pre-season I don't like it.
 
Is this the final preseason game? I've been waiting desperately for he preseason to end and actual hockey to begin.

The team should be ready and motivated come game 1. Hopefully Brooks and Lilijgren make the team even if they start as scratches
 
I thought Matthews was coming along and was ready?
Does him not playing tonight mean he may not be ready for Wensday?

Seemed to be a coinflip to play tonight but maybe thought better of it as it's a pre-season game and give him 3 more days to make sure he's 100%?

I'm cool with that.
