Getting destroyed

Yeah that is...not good

Are you talking just this game, cause your post sounded very much like this was happening consistently game to game (it's not), either way, you sound very reactionary and emotional in your posts

Of course I’m talking about tonight… who would think he was an awful player?

Leaf fans after 10 game win streak: Regular season doesn't matter. Let's see what they do in playoffs.

Mrazek robbed them a few times so his play evens out.

Think when you have a goalie guessing and making spectacular saves and or whiffing on chances at other times it’s the sign of a guy who doesn’t have confidence or control of the situation.

So a good sign in the third would be if he calmed down and just had some routine touches of the puck and gave his team a little stability.

Are you serious? You think he places them on the ice exactly when he wants them on?

It is not like they wind a winch before letting them rip. It is on the players to not be stupid on changes. The coaches just tell the players who is going on next.

Ned is a wild card in net too and Detroit is a non playoff team so our chances coming back to win aren’t bad at all if they have a push in the third. But you’d probably file tonight under one of those “it doesn’t matter, just win” headings like we saw during the Carlyle-Kessel era.

Firewagon hockey time, nothing to lose at this point.

I’m referring to his awful play tonight. Seems like we’re in agreement so I’m not sure why there’s a push back.

My bad. I thought you were inferring Matthews is awful in general and after watching tonight, let's call a spade a spade.

The post read that way to me, my mistake. I still think he's been fine tonight and had some looks, but not as dominate as usual.

Leafs have not looked the same since the COvid break..it’s unfortunate cause before that they were playing like a team that could win every game…playing like machine at times..solid team defence game, good decisions, good goaltending, finishing opportunities…hopefully we’ll see that team again soon, otherwise 1st rd exit here we come

They were also playing a lot of games at home

We all know what he’s capable of. If he has the trust of his coach to babysit Kase and Bunting he’s got to bring his power game and create offense which those guys can get easy tap ins from. He has the responsibility to make it work and it’s not a shared level of responsibility if that makes sense.
