Post-Series Talk: Toronto Maple Leafs defeat the Ottawa Senators, 4-2

People realized real quick watching Cozens on a national stage that he wasn’t anything at all that the trade deadline talking heads said that he was when that trade was announced.

“2 way force, tough as nails.” Nope.

He’s a fine offensive player who is very very prone to brain farts and is better suited on the wing.

Toronto is 5-0 vs Ottawa in playoff series. Like it or not, The Battle of Ontario has effectively been guaranteed win for the Leafs one way or another. Same thing as how Boston has completely owned Toronto in the 1st round over the same time. Sometimes one franchise just always seems to be able to dominate the other when it counts. It is a bit weird, not sure why you see patterns like this sometimes.
Curious how the Leafs fared in the round following the Ottawa ones?

We might not have had a Game 6 if it wasn’t for his shorty.

Little bit of a sweat but not one Leafs fan was ever in doubt we would beat the sens 😉

Leafs were tighter defensively all series I felt. Ottawa was less poised and had fewer weapons up front. Important series for Ottawa to learn from and a good gut check for the Leafs to close out and not let Ottawa force a game seven. Knies was very impressive, after him I felt Nylander was the Leafs biggest threat

Congratulations to Toronto.

Also, chin up Ottawa. You made a series of it and have a bright future.
Looked like they didn't belong at first but once they got their legs and did away with the nerves it was a different game. Unfortunately they were just down 3 games by that point and winning 4 in a row in the NHL is hard, as they just proved actually. But that's what experience gets you and they got 6 games worth of playoff experience in them now.

If you’re ok with 2 points in 6 games including losing your man on the series clinching goal, that’s your business.

Not hating on the kid I just hated that he was being built up as something he isn’t. Not fair to him.

This series can at least show us the importance of seeding. Tampa and Florida both deserved to move on to the second round.

Ottawa will be back if only they can dump Ullmark's contract...
