It is that system that Keefe put in (assuming Dubas as well) that worked at lower levels where you over-value puck possession even if it means f'ing around with the puck at your own blue line rather than putting it deep and initiating a cycle when necessary.

problem is that dump and chase won't work with this team they have nobody willing to make the oppositions defense pay the price

Yeah, Dubas won a Calder Cup overstocking the Toronto Marlies with AAAA veterans who could dominate a typical AHL opponent. In the NHL level, all he had to do was build a normal support cast, not get smaller and softer the farther down you go in the lineup to support a finesse core.
