He can't be worse than Kallgren can he ?

I am big on this pick. You see what I did there ?

Like this pick

Traded their 3rd from 2024 I believe. So we have 1,3,5 and 6 in 2023 then all but 4 in 2024.
What was that Nick Ritchie trade again?

The Toronto Maple Leafs sent forward Nick Ritchie and a conditional draft choice to Arizona in exchange for defenseman Ilya Lyubushkin and forward Ryan Dzingel. The Coyotes will have their pick of the Leafs' third-round choice in 2023, or second-round pick in 2025.

I think you are referring the 3rd round pick in 2024 that was dealt along with 2 X 2nd (2022 & 2023) for Mark Giordano.

That's pretty Winpy :wg: , more like robbing Peter to pay Paul scenario.

Leafs have already traded their 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 7th from 2023, and we haven't even completed the 2022 draft.
Cry. Look at other competing teams draft cupboards, Florida has one top
100 pick in the next 3 drafts, and have the chiarot and giroux rentals to show for it. Spare me.

You're right, I forgot the conditions and that's why it's still showing as ours. If I'm Az I take the 2nd in 2025, but I suppose we can't count on that 3rd next year until we know for sure.

Don't blame you, as we trade away so many future picks it hard to keep them all straight. :)

Next year is a strong draft class so odds are on favourite Arizona uses it, as 2025 is a long time to wait. IMO

Probably a decent bet here. He's contracted for a little while in Sweden so even being an overager, he might be someone that takes awhile to make the jump.

Jonas Gustavsson? The new (hopefully much better) Swedish Monster?

I know nothing about this guy, but I like the way his measurements look.

Hopefully he works out.

Brennan in the third would have been a nice handcuff to the pick. C'est la vie.

Is Dennis allowed to participate in training camp or the development camp? Does his contract in the shl prevent any of this?

He can make the development camp but the SHL season starts by the time training camps open. So he's not going to be here for it.

Love the pick.

HockeyDB has him listed at 6'02 but eliteprospects has him listed at 6'06

numbers in the SweHL look really good as well. Sneaky pick but I like it. Kyle Dubas has only traded up for 3 picks I believe:

-Veeti Miettenen
-Dmitry Ovchinikov
-Ryan Tverberg

So far those picks have tracked well, and I expect this one to do the same

Didn't trade up for Miettenen. Holmberg was the other one.

No, it is more like Wimpy or using a credit card. They saw a player they liked and got him

Per MLHS, "Hildeby has a contract in Sweden through the 2023-24 season, so he cannot come over yet. That potentially paves a path for him to arrive when he’s 23 years old."

Its about damn time we get a shot in the dark starting goalie later in the rounds. This is our god damn GUY, our own Vasi, look at the sizE of this beast.

I love it, its time it pans out boys and girls, i want nothing but positivity about this guy and this pick, lets wish it into existence alright?

This is our future bright star.

I always have a soft spot for these somewhat random picks. Have no idea about this guy's skillset but really hope he works out.

We're due for a random star goalie find
