Walker is a good 3rd pairing guy.

i doubt walker moves the needle that much on our tanking…. If anyone is going to screw it up it’s terry zegras and mctavish finding his stride

Leaf fans are funny.

The team has a great top six and then not a whole lot of a bottom six and could really use some depth there. Yet the Leafs have a lot of depth on defence (Reilly, Brodie, Giordano, Liljegren, Sandin, Holl, Benn, Mete, Muzzin) but the Leafs fans want to trade for more defensive depth.

You don't consider bringi g Clifford back to be a good player, you bring him back to be an influence in the weight room, around the rink, and in practice. As a player his race is just about run.

Its no secret the Kings defense is poor in front of their net and along the wall. They get abused by physical teams. Don't discount the value of having those kids having actual physical players to practice against on a weekly basis instead of the set of dandies they currently face. The Kings are a soft team that will need all the help they can get if they have any hope of winning a round.

First, Muzzin is on LTIR so that means they have exactly two D that have shown they can play top four pairing minutes/assignments. Holl is a liability if not paired with a Brodie or Muzzin. Benn is fine in a pinch, but he's 3rd pairing along with Giordano and Sandin right now. Brodie is out so there's probably a little panic in the near-term as there are a couple of guys forced to play above their level.

And yes, there is a need in the bottom 6 as well. It is possible to have needs in both areas that need addressing. Take the Habs for example ...

You don't want to add a LHD just to add one. Shit, Tobias Bjornfot still hasn't even played this season and I'd take him over Sandin anyday.

If we're adding a LHD they should provide some size and grit and stability to be paired with a Durzi or Clarke.
