What does that even mean?

The only scenario is they get rid of him.

It lowers the cap hit of a player. Every team has some allocation money and you can trade it as well. TFC did it with De Rosario years ago where his cap hit was about 400k but they used allocations to lower it to about 250-300k so that they didn't have to use a DP spot on him.

Anyway I just saw a report from the Toronto Sun that said the Bradley deal is actually close to being done and he could possibly be introduced on Monday with Defoe as well. They also said that they would either trade or loan out Laba to open up his DP spot. I like Laba but Bradley is just miles better and still only 26 so that's a very easy decision to make. Seattle did the same with Dempsey by loaning out Montero to open up a DP spot and now Montero has 16 goals in 14 games in the Portuguese league while Dempsey had 1 goal in 12 games for Seattle so hopefully it works out better for us if the deal does get done..

All payne did was Stock up allocation money, they should be fine cap wise+ to buy down leba or trade him but this is big news for tfc,

If we are somehow able to keep Laba and bring in Bradley... god what an "off-season"

Joe Morrow, Gilberto, DeRosario, Defoe and Bradley? I'm sure I'm missing someone

Not going to pretend like I know. I think it transfers some of his salary hit or something, which would then lower his salary to under DP standards I guess?

Some out there are saying we would be able to keep Laba still.

However, an article in the star that just came it, suggests he may have to go

The Bezbachenko hire seems to be paying off in spades.

Leiwicke went and got a guy who knows the system better than probably anyone on the face of the earth, and was confident that he could do the grunt work of attracting the talent.

Was skeptical at first, but this is astounding

I think Osorio is better then Leba but that's my Opinion

Honestly, I think both the Defoe deal and Bradley deals will be announced Monday.

We have 7 weeks to move Laba should we need to.

no one signed yet, But Bradley and Defoe coming on the 13th from everything i heard including on Tfc webpage.

The Star is reporting Defoe is done and Bradley is almost done. There is still strong Euro competition for him so its not for sure

That rumor died in December,

Luke Wileman on TSN radio says plan is to Trade Laba and sign Bradley.

Ive noticed, there was no recent rumours but the whole idea just died without a final verdict anywhere so i wasn't entirely sure.
