What an embarrassment. This team is totally devoid of talent, effort level, soccer IQ, and ideas. We started 6 f***ing Canadians and NOT ONE is a quality footballer. Petrasso’s throw ins twice were to the opposite team. Lackadaisical sloppy plays and passes by Kaye and Thompson. Pops Bradley is so devoid of options that he didn’t make a substitution of that crap till the 89th minute when he put in two other useless Canadians in Shaffelburg and Achara.

Why trade Pozuelo when they did? At least he had talent. But apparently they didn’t think he could play with Insigne. But he can play with the shit that was on the field tonight? What’s the use of reinforcements when you’re so far behind a playoff spot? This management is totally clueless and on the field led by a clueless coach. Really really sad.

That's a bit of a stretch - but they're developing a lot of kids in addition to playing their regular Canadians. With the MLS model it's going to be important to develop and sell academy talent to generate allocation money. Hopefully by next game however the portion of the team that's in development mode drops to one or two starters a game as opposed to now when there's too much to win now

Oh it’s no stretch to say that what we witnessed tonight was embarrassing for Canadian soccer. So we’re paying top dollar to watch professional soccer that is essentislly a development league? No wonder most of the world thinks the MLS is a joke of a league. You’ve got Academy players on TFC that can’t complete a 10 ft pass or throw in. Other leagues have junior academies but the developing players don’t constitute 45% of the starters for the pro team. What I watched from this team tonight was an abomination. Those 6 Canadian starters were really bad.

It's going to be a combination of development and stars moving forwards from the looks of things. Not all of the Canadians are developing kids though, that number includes MLS starters with a track record of success. The important thing is actually adding the stars, of which they're sitting at zero currently.
 
We were down several starters. Not surprised at the result.

There's no point dissecting results right now as the starting lineup will look vastly different in a couple of weeks.

Well all these soccer guys were telling me we had a good team at start of year when I said after I watched 1 game we looked terribly slow and had zero speed on midfield or defense .. well I watched again last night and it was same old same old .. Bradley has been a warrior for da club and bleeds red but he passed his prime 3 years ago .. and Osorio is skilled but he can't hang with speed either .. bringing in superstars from Italy will help upfront but best case we have to win shoot outs every game 5-4 .. I don't see it personally and I have never been a believer in a father coaching his son in any kinda serious junior or pro game .. sure it can work as kids as there are not enough qualified coaches to go around but not in junior or pro please

Yeah just 2 of us but it was pretty obvious .. maybe next year if we can add a CB and a defending midfielder with speed then we will compete again .. good news about MLS is teams can be fixed up fairly quickly as we could shift into a 3 - 4 - 3 setup .. move Mavinga onto his strong side, move Jr to more of a support midfield role and Osorio can play high and distribute

They've both been in full team training the last couple days so it seems to me that the only question is whether they start or come off the bench.

Might see Insigne come off the bench Saturday with the Canadian Championship coming up Tuesday night. Two starts 3 days apart is a bit risky for a player coming back from injury.
 
apparently Bernardeschi is not practicing today. No injury, just managing his workload. Hinting at possible back to back starts maybe
 
since the start of the season i have had a couple problems with this assembled team as has been well documented in this thread. Firstly and obviously too much inexperience and players that just flat out aren't ready at this level. and the more you watch them the more you think they are nothing special. petrasso, marhsall rutty, mcnaughton, perruza, chung, etc. sorry, but they just aren't going to cut it. Nelson and Kerr show some promise, but Nelson is an immature player. None of them have notable pace or any real flare that makes me think they will ever become "star" players. Shaffelburg is one guy who has pace and literally nothing else.

And now we get into the italians who are supposed to be the cornerstones? a couple days into their tenures and we're already talking load management? Insigne already missing what was supposed to be his first game? Oh boy.

I'll just say this: the bob bradley era has gotten off to a pretty flat start.
 
I am withholding my judgement on all these signings. I hope it works out but having doubts. We already have one of them injured? Hasn’t even played a game? Another joining the All Star game skills challenge and hasn’t even played a game? This observation as a true outsider on the incoming players without knowing the full extent of the issues. Just hope it works out and that playing in TO just isn’t a picnic for them.
 
This team has to go battering ram style if they want a shot at the playoffs.

8 points back, 6 teams in front of them, and 13 games to go. That being said, here comes the offense!

Going to be difficult but it is doable. Need some help from other matches as well!
