To be fair that is in fact a certified classic. The NHL still markets his hit where his helmet falls off
he skates the entire length of the ice and decimates somebody
Is it fair to refer to the rule that you can’t play w/o a helmet as the “Krug rule”The NHL still markets his hit where his helmet falls off
he skates the entire length of the ice and decimates somebody
I think that was Robert Thomas a blues player funny enough. The NHL still markets his hit where his helmet falls off
he skates the entire length of the ice and decimates somebody
Being a multimillionaire probably dampens that pain a bit.I know not being able to go out on your own terms can be a different kind of mental pain
This is exactly why I think the macho culture in NHL hockey is toxic. Playing through injuries shouldn't be romanticized. If you're injured, you should be mandated to heal said injury before playing again.![]()
Krug to undergo season-ending ankle surgery | St. Louis Blues
Torey Krug will miss the entire 2024-25 season after making the decision to have surgery on his left ankle. “I fractured it six years ago in the playoffs when I was with Boston, and in the last few years, it’s started to get worse and worse,” Krug told reporters onwww.nhl.com
Yeah it seems like he had a degenerative ankle just from injuring it and continuing to play on it for years. Sucks for him to see but at least he got paid before injuries killed his career.
