Vancouver went from a dump to a Stanley cup contender because they made a couple smart acquisitions and brought in a coach who demanded they play a tough, tight system.

All we’ve done is handed out massive contracts and let Keefe continue to get outcoached over and over and over
One of those moves was letting Horvat go cause it didn't make sense financially.

What happened to the shit disturber version of Bertuzzi

Dude does nothing, no hits, fights, pushing, shoving, just useless
It's true, I always thought of him as much more of a physically impactful player and he's been as butter soft as the rest of the team

I think some perspective: The Canucks are one of the top 3 teams in the league. The Leafs are a playoff bubble team.
And it's easy to see the difference: Vancouver is fast, skilled, great forecheck, lots of hustle. Toronto isn't at the same level.

A real coach wouldn’t accept anything less than everyone being on the same page.

Tocchet has been benching Kuzmenko because he’s not playing the same forecheck game as the rest of the team despite being the first guy into the zone often.

Cooper had Tampa all on that same page. Cassidy employed the same type of system en route to a cup.

Maybe if Keefe had the the balls to do that to our stars instead of being passive aggressive in press conferences we would be a bit more competitive.

Wonder what Torts would do to Marner.
Keefe xalls are still in Dubeys ....

One team def a playoff team
Other there are doubts
If u tell someone there’s 3 players on the ice making over 11 million per or soon to be 4 you would prob guess they were all on the black team

And how wrong you would be lol

I mean... Petterssen, Miller, Boeser, Hughes, Demko all make less than 8 million per year. We don't really stand much of a chance with Nylander, Tavares and Marner making 11+ per year. Even with the cap going up, so many comparable players are signed to 2030 at better contracts than our players. Especially with our gm continually dumping a couple million a year, desperately trying to add toughness and leadership because our highest paid guys lack these characteristics.
when Nylander starts making 11+ Petterssen will be making 13+

Kuzmenko isn't Vancouvers Marner though lol he is like their Domi or something. I am not disagreeing with you but at the end of the day the top players have to decide they want to buy in or just straight up doesn't matter what the coach wants. None of these guys are going anywhere and they know it.

Keefe gets outcoached and Mr GM decides that defence is an afterthought

we really went into the season with brodie or mccabe as our #2 and gio in our lineup. Take matthews alone out and we might be going for the top 5 pick with that lineup

tavares shouldn't be brought back at all, just a terrible hockey player we grossly overpaid
nylander is the new tavares
marner is the delusional small timid winger who shies away from playing forward and likes the blue line

man Tre really dropped a nuke on the team
