This guy helped drive the offense on your PP and was logging the most ice time out of all your defensemen 5v5. So if being one of 2 NhL defenseman makes you a top 2 defenseman, than I guess he’s a top 2 defenseman. He would have been a 5-6 on the Lightning next year.

I’m thrilled he got a huge contract. I’m even happier that Toronto was the one to pay him.

My guess is amazing for 3 or 4 years, okay for another 2, then kinda bad for another 2-3 (but the salary cap will probably be $1 billion by that point ).
