Future consideration can't catch a break. Poor bastard keeps on getting traded all the time.

Yes don't see him making the Leafs anytime soon.Has clifford dropped off that badly?
They had the cash, but they wanted him in the AHL at least for now. It is better that he has cleared.did the leafs not have the cash to claim him off waivers or something?
How is it influenced then? Standings?Waiver order is not influenced by claiming a player. That is one of the many misconception about waivers.
Absolutely. He brings nothing to an NHL roster at this point.Has clifford dropped off that badly?

He’d be better than Schiefle there, surely. They can put him on the top line after Ritchie flames out again, all the other plugs got a chance so why not a washed up Clifford

Marlies are a destination AHL team because they have NHL caliber facilities and their in the same city. Maybe it was requested by Cliff?Clifford signed with St Louis in good faith that they'd keep him for the duration, and they go and waive him then trade him for nothing.
Are players going to want to sign with St Louis, given that they're developing a reputation for disloyalty?
: sarcasm :
How is it influenced then? Standings?
Yes.
And before November 1st, it uses last year standing.
WTF WE COULD HAVE KEPT FUTURE CONSIDERATIONS IF WE PICKED HIM UP ON WAIVERSCue all the people complaining that they could have had him for free off waivers.
If we can throw him into a couple games to punch a guy in the face when we're losing and getting pushed around, that's all he needs to be for me.He's definitely washed, but having depth never hurts during the Covid era.
I believe only if no one else put in a claim.also if I'm not mistaken, if a team loses a player through waivers, they have priority to claim him back should he be waived again. regardless of standings. not sure for how long though.
Exactly. Goes on standings (based on points percentage) on the day the waivers are requested, and having made a claim or having lost a player earlier in the year has no effect on the priorityHow is it influenced then? Standings?
