No shock. Even with the trade request, Robertson had no choice but to sign if he wanted to play this year.

Yeah there wasn't a team out there most likely who are as good as the Leafs with the hole at LW we have. If he shows up and is good he should have top 6 minutes this year.

He tried standing his ground and wanted to be traded but in the end signed a deal like this.. not a surprise nobody acquired him and not a surprise he signed for this amount… pretty much exactly what most people assume would happen with him

Fair contract for both sides

But much like his skating, he fell down.

Really odd "strategy" from Nick Robertson's team IMO. You have absolutely ZERO leverage and minimal market value, so you demand a trade only to end up signing a one year deal for essentially the league minimum. For his sake - hope he can improve his total game and earn additional icetime and responsibility.
Bruh asked for a trade July 1st when all the pre-planning rosters was done.

Atleast ask for a trade pre draft.

Replacement level player who thought someone would sign him to a offer sheet because his brother is really good.

That's not necessarily fair. I think the Leafs and Treliving were asking for a pretty high price, because they need Robertson and they knew he would eventually give in (which he did).
Robertson has value of another club’s similar player (all teams have these guys) or a late round draft pick. The player learned he has very low, if any, trade value.

The hold out always made no sense and he was always going to have to meekly come back to Toronto with his tail between his legs. There is an opportunity for him to play alongside better players than he would literally anywhere else
