It is getting to the point where our offense is as big of an issue as our defense used to be. We can't score. It is a real problem.
Even with the shoddy D we've had in years past, this was also the case. In the playoffs the team has always played 'well' defensively. They are much better defensively, but they called out the stat in the second period, 1-9 in games where they score less than 3 goals.

Brutal cough up and defensive coverage in the last minute. Berube is probably giving it to them right now.
The problem is, they may squeak out the win again and Berube will be results oriented.

He needs to be harder on them when they can't execute on basic plays a bantam player can make. Even if they win in the end, it is continued bad plays 9 years into a rebuild.

The forwards can't abandon their 200 foot game. Teams are going to score but you cant gift them Grade A chances and leave your goalie out to dry yet again.

Period was good for the most part, but you gotta score more than one. We've let too many bad teams hang around and make life difficult

Score plz
True, but I do think more importantly, you cannot give the opponent a free goal like that. Lazy and unfocused to the end of the period. Not winning hockey.

You say the same thing every game. Were you a parrot in another life?
It's like you've never read this script before. The Leafs will try hard for about 90 seconds in the third period and tie the game. Then they will either win or lose in overtime. I think they are just going through the motions trying to ride out the regular season. Lots of teams are in the same boat. These guys are human. They know when games don't mean anything.

Down 2-1 because of stupid mistakes.

First it was The Matthews offside.

Then they decide to start f***ing around with the puck in the last minute.

And yet It's still right there if they choose to take it.

Yeah giving up freebies when you should be making the safest plays possible in the last minute is just not NHL level hockey. I really question the hockey IQ and competitiveness of some of our guys and it starts with "captain" Matthew$.

I get it's a long season, but that mindset doesn't win you cups. Not an opinion, it's facts.
