I get it's a long season, but that mindset doesn't win you cups. Not an opinion, it's facts.

Agreed. Sure some games mean more than others, but you gotta show up every night because winning is winning. Picking and choosing is a real bad habit to get into.

And this is exactly my issue with this team. I would rather than they lose this game 5-1 because maybe it would be a bit of cold water on them. I think they would be well-served by going through a long losing streak. These games become irrelevant if they are simply able to win because they decide to play well for a couple of minutes in the third period and then score in the clown show that is 3 on 3 overtime.

It's like you've never read this script before. The Leafs will try hard for about 90 seconds in the third period and tie the game. Then they will either win or lose in overtime. I think they are just going through the motions trying to ride out the regular season. Lots of teams are in the same boat. These guys are human. They know when games don't mean anything.
Every game matters if you want to win your Division and get home ice in the playoffs.

It's also cause the Atlantic is usually stacked... this is the first year it is wide open and it is the second worst year of the last 5 (so far).
I agree that it’s been stacked but serious question here. Shouldn’t we be one of the stacked teams. I keep hearing from posters that we couldn’t win and would be automatically worse without anyone of out core 4.
If that is rue shouldn’t we be considered “stacked”
