He was an RFA.Liljegren should have used the Calculator and realized he could make more else where.

Doesn't matter, Calculator wins 100% of the time.He was an RFA.
Ankle injury from Marchand ruined his first half. However he bounced back when given priority ice time.I'm glad they resigned him. Last season was an offyear for some reason but he'll bounce back. He's got the talent.
It was a 2 year deal, not 3.He took some big steps this year. Unfortunately we have a bunch of stat watchers who don’t watch the games, and certainly haven’t a clue what playing D in hockey consists of. They’d think Larry Robinson was horrible.
TL was getting $3 million. Maybe 3 years is a year too much but they’re betting on him continuing to get better with more experience and maturity. As that’s what usually happens at his age now. Could be a steal season 2 and 3.
If he’s bad, they’ll address it. People need to be honest about him though. I’ve ripped him as much as anyone. He’s much better than he was 2 years ago though.
Yesteryear is 2010? For a 50% cap increase (3:2) youd have to go that far back. It hasn't gone up nearly enough for a 2 to become a 3 within the last decade.3 mill is the 2 mill of yesteryear, get used to it.
Bro we literally benched him during our obligatory first round exit. He's weak as f***.Right handed Dman, fairly young and mobile? Sounds good, what's the catch?
He plays for the leaf's... Oh yeah he sucks bad, not worth league minimum.
You are bad at math$3M AAV is pretty much going to be the going rate for bottom-pair defensemen with an increasing cap.
$3m/year to be a scratch and the worst shot share on the defense group. Bravo!
Where do you play online poker these days? Talkin' free poker for fun. Any tips?If he can solidify himself as a reliable 2nd pairing guy, this is a great deal. If the Leafs use him as a 3rd pairing guy, then it is just ok as a run back. He is never going to be the ideal #1 pairing guy, nor does he fit the role as a premere shut down D man. He is not an offensive catalyst either. 2 years is about right for a vaniila player.
Wow, none of this stopped him from being a scratch. Garbage stats giving garbage conclusions.wow worst shot share. Surely more important than chances, expected goals, goals

Being scratched not a narrative it’s a fact. Getting out shot is a big problem when you have Samsonov in net. You are the one creating a narrative a blaming the coach and finding irrelevant stats to make a story. Don’t use words you don’t understand. You’re the one who brought up underlying stats than proceed to call them garbage when they don’t support your narrative lmao
Yeah scratched for one game then immediately re-inserted, from a coach who was subsequently fired.

I knew this is where the Leafs fan base was heading. Keefe is gone let’s blame him for everything. Just like they did with Kadri, Andersson, Babcock, etc. It’s always a guy on the way out that’s the sand in the vaseline. You would think by now Leafs fans need to realize it’s the players they have that are the problem not the guys who have left.
