So much cope. The Leafs play in the Atlantic, against real NHL teams.

The window is Matthews four year deal starting this season.
No. I literally said I'm not on team "Murray conspiracy" and I believe he had an injury. Are you able to read?Don't you think Murray would have earned a lot more money on his new contract if he actually played last season if he was capable? Your conspiracy theory doesn't even make sense.
You can't honestly be trying to claim that Matt Murray faked an injury, multiple doctor's risked their careers committing fraud by claiming he was injured and then a professional athlete then went and got an unneccessary hip surgery (that would have to be done by an unscrupulous doctor) all so the Maple Leafs could avoid his salary?
Do you honestly believe this?
That’s exactly what they did. Everyone knows he won’t be playing in 6 years. Leafs will find a way to have him on LTIR. Win-win for leafs and Tanev. This is a good add for the Leafs. Obviously a few years too long, but cap will go up a fair amount. I'm guessing Tanev would have been at 5.5-6 on a 4 year deal based on what the market was paying. Leafs did well to keep the cap low for next year when they really need it.
Tanev will play with one foot though lol. Will be interesting to see if he actually LTIRsThat’s exactly what they did. Everyone knows he won’t be playing in 6 years. Leafs will find a way to have him on LTIR. Win-win for leafs and Tanev.
Might be the best signing of the offseasonBrad should try to add Trouba. This would be a very solid blueline.
Tanev - Rielly
McCabe - Trouba
OEL - Liljegren
You did not.I am only capable of replying to words that are written here, I am incapable of deciphering any hidden meanings and/or voices in the head of the person writing as I do not have access to that information.
As I wrote previously, always the sign of a good contract when fans of the team talk about LTIR even before the ink dries on the contract...That’s exactly what they did. Everyone knows he won’t be playing in 6 years. Leafs will find a way to have him on LTIR. Win-win for leafs and Tanev.
As much as I like his play, it's not going to work out 'til he's 40. That's going to hurt..
By January I expect sizeable # of Leaf fans to be complaining that Tanev is Brodie 2.0
Great defense if it's 2003.Brad should try to add Trouba. This would be a very solid blueline.
Tanev - Rielly
McCabe - Trouba
OEL - Liljegren
Tanev - Rielly
McCabe - Liljegren
Benoit - OEL
x - Timmins.
This blueline needs nothing, looks solid as hell. Will be very difficult to play against this defense core.
Brad should try to add Trouba. This would be a very solid blueline.
Tanev - Rielly
McCabe - Trouba
OEL - Liljegren
As long as LTIR is an option, at least they can hide his salary if and when he goes down. Tanev has only played one full season in his career which is remarkable considering he is 34 years old.
I'd go Benoit over Liljegreb. As much as I've wanted Lily to be good, I just haven't seen it yet.Brad should try to add Trouba. This would be a very solid blueline.
Tanev - Rielly
McCabe - Trouba
OEL - Liljegren
Happy the B's got Zadorov for $500,000 more.
No chance Tanev plays till he's 40
Enough so that they even gave Murray some more money this year!Don't sell Klingberg short, he *also* got hip surgery to really make it convincing.
Part of why it fooled so many people was because Klingberg and Murray were both Unrestricted Free Agents so the each literally were going to forfeit millions of dollars but simply missing the entire season, but they were such team guys they were willing to make that sacrifice.
