We acquired Riley Nash just to sit on LTIR, which through a bunch of salary cap voodoo, gives us more cap space.

I believe we can also put Andersen on LTIR now if needed and get his full cap hit in extra space. Not certain though

71% defensive zone starts holy moley.... defensive forward first and foremost by the looks of things.

Defense wins championships. More please.

I can name 5-6 Leafs who can score on any given night and I'd say " that's expected". Two-way play and a solid back end ensures those 5-6 score in meaningful games (i.e, wins) and not just garbage points in losses. Shut down forwards can see play a role.

A depth player and astute working of the Cap. Dubas and Leafs management are going to walk across hot coals to find space to add.
