  • We're expecting server maintenance on March 3rd starting at midnight, there may be downtime during the work.
Panarin isn't winning the cup for the King's & Hiller would banish him to the bottom 6 for not being able to check. Don't see why they'd do this.

Cap, Moore would have to go back.

Kings are more than one player away at this point and we are seeing Kopitar regress by the week.

I would totally be against trading our youth at this time, as this team is no longer being led by Kopitar and Doughty.

Would rather trade those two vets for youth and build around Byfield.

Gauging value here.

Looks like LA could use a LW'er that can help enhance the PP.

NYR needs some help on D and at RW.

Panarin at 50%

For

Brandt Clarke and Liam Greentree

Thoughts?
There is no way Kings will trade for old, expensive, perimeter-oriented player like Panarin.

He is not needed for any kind of value.

You will not get for him anything even close in value of Brandt Clarke and Liam Greentree.

I received the following response from John Hoven of the influential LA Kings blog Mayor’s Manor: “There are three people that are not being traded… Byfield, (Brandt) Clarke, Laffy (Alex Laferriere). That’s from the best sources I have…LA certainly can’t control outside teams calling and asking about players. However, that does not mean a player is available. As you know, two totally different things. The Kings have zero interest in trading the three I mentioned. They view them as three of the core they’re building around.”

Doesn’t seem like you’re just “gauging value” here, it seems like you’re trying to trade Artemi Panarin tonight!

The ten year rebuild plan continues on schedule. You can bet our crack gm rob blake will make the best deals possible for the future of this rebuild.
LMAO

This guy can read minds.

The young, hopeful GM: No, we’re not a Panarin away from winning.

The older, grizzled GM: I’m in quicksand and need to make an impact or my ass will be fired.

There are better trade partners for Panarin, should Drury (who’s an awful piece of shit GM) decide to trade him. Considering he just traded for JTM, he’s obviously not thinking about the future. Drury’s not trading Panarin.

I don’t mind the hypothetical conversation. But it won’t happen.

I appreciate the offer, but Kings are not a serious contender, shouldn't be trading their youth. Kings need to trade off their veterans for picks and prospects

That Nprtstom trade was good. Kings do owe us, we also traded for Avery.

I want Laferriere in any Kings deal for Panarin?

Panarin (50 %), K’Andre Miller (RFA this summer) to Kings
Laferriere, Greentree, and Michael Anderson to NYR?

I'm getting the feeling like some Rangers fans view the Kings as their farm system. Must be caused by Luc, Blake, Bergevin and their Three Stooges mentality.

It's not that at all. I have a ton of respect for the Kings Franchise.

I just looked at needs from a positional and situational perspective and thought players fit needs

Kings look RW heavy. Rangers are thin there.

Greentree alone doesn't get Panarin with or w/o retention.

I know Brandt Clarke is a valuable asset. I figured LA would prefer to keep him, but out of the folks I was looking at, I preferred this kid.

This season aside, there has been no indication of a slowdown for Panarin, but in context, the whole team is having a shit year.

The odds of all three of Mika, Panarin and Kreider all showing this level of decline is long.

Panarin is a 95-120+ not sure i believe he's a low 80's player.

Lastly, not knowing if LA is committed to still building or not. Panarin, I believe, helps more in a potential matchup with the Oilers.

Please stop telling how good Panarin is. Just go to your board and see how much NY fans like him.

NY fans want to trade him and strangely enough Kings fans do not like him either.

A 33 year old for a 22 year old future top line defender.
I am really curious how the conversation went when you role played it in your mind

that'd be no, wouldn't even do for either straight up, Kings are not a Panarin away and he would not fit in their system, so his efficiency would not be as effective.

I truly don’t see the Kings, even with Blake’s desultory trade habits, trading any of their top young assets for aging players. They’re kind of in the same situation as the Rangers where their older players are exiting their core. As others mentioned, this is barely a playoff contending team, let alone a Cup contender. Mortgaging the future makes little sense.
