Pasta gonna fetch a massive package this offseason if he's not in on the rebuild.Pastrnak, Geekie, Kastelic, hampus Lindholm.

Pasta is 28 atm and turns 29 in May. I doubt he wants to do a rebuild.Pasta gonna fetch a massive package this offseason if he's not in on the rebuild.
I agree, it also makes no sense for us to keep him.Pasta is 28 atm and turns 29 in May. I doubt he wants to do a rebuild.

So far Don done a solid job getting all those solid picks and prospects.I don't think there is going to be a rebuild in Boston, I think they see this as a 1 off and they are going to try to retool.
I don't think they are embracing a rebuild yet.

If Carlo were a 28-year-old, top-pair right-shot defenseman making $4.1 million, he wouldn’t be getting moved, let alone to a division rival. There are probably fewer than 10-15 elite right-handed defensemen in the entire league, so we don’t need him to be that. It sounds like he has no offense and isn’t physical, but if all he does is provide stay-at-home defense, I think we’ll take that considering how thin we are at the position. Luckily, we have Tanev for the top pair, so Carlo can slot into the second pair. Hopefully, Rielly-Carlo can be a good second pair, though.
McCabe - Tanev
Rielly - Carlo
OEL - Myers
No one wants to hear that their big deadline acquisition is Holl Deluxe but it fits an oddly specific niche where your forwards outside a small handful are diligent backcheckers and your LD are either McCabe doing a decent Muzzin impression or two guys that need to be babysat. Unless you can get a Tanev clone to babysit them in-zone, having a guy that can slow down the neutral zone until the forwards show up is probably the cheapest way to do that.
How in the world can you possibly know this ?
This is the ideal year to sell Pasta. A bunch of teams will have the cap space to take him on, which means the bidding for his services would be much higher than most years, where many teams were cap constrained to really make it work. If Boston sells, they'll make out like bandits.I don't think there is going to be a rebuild in Boston, I think they see this as a 1 off and they are going to try to retool.

Just want to put it out there, when was the last time the Leafs made a trade with the Bruins involving a lot of futures and they didn't end up really regretting it later?
Misty with 4 points feels like he could be a #1C
Thank you Toronto
Oh I’m sure he’s been mediocre or even somewhat steady, and it might be nice for a short time
Don’t get excited. This guy will burn you when you really need him to NOT burn you. Get used to the imagery of him fishing pucks out of his own net. For every shot he blocks, he pulls one out of the net
I said he’s gonna burn you when you really need him not to. Be patientYou guys keep saying this but it never happens

I think Carlo is a very good 2nd pair shutdown RD and he's worth the cost. Calling him top pair is a bit of a stretch imo. He's not as a good as a Tanev who I would say is more like a top pair RD. The role that Carlo is in as a #4 stay at home RD works well for him. That's exactly what he's been
Carlo's problem with most Bruin fans is that you only seem to notice him when he makes a mistake. He just plays such a simple game ( and this not a shot at all ) that he tends to go unnoticed most of the time. He'll never be the guy that puts butts in the seats but if you appreciate good boring defensive play then he's your guy. I really like the return Boston got for Carlo but I will miss him too.
It’s great he’s working out, or at least everyone says he is so far. He just is what he is at this point, and he’s gonna ruin you soon.Breaking: Defencemen will sometimes make mistakes.
You can say that about every d-man in the league. I'm sure you can find a bad clip of Bobby Orr 'burning you when you really need him not to' with a bad pinch.
