Wiesblatt is a recent 1st rounder
Middleton is rumoured to return a 2nd+
Gadjovich sucks

Robertson is a recent 2nd rounder (year older than Ozzy)
Engvall sucks

Why on earth would San Jose do that? Wiesblatt and Robertson are similar level prospects (I'd even give Robertson the edge) but why would we trade Middleton for Engvall?

I'd say Robertson has much higher upside than Wiesblatt? Robertson has play in the AHL and the NHL. Wiesblatt was averaging more than a ppg the last two years in the WHL, but this year he's under that and he's still in the WHL. I don't think he'll be more than a bottom 6 forward? Feel free to argue this point. So the difference makes up for the 2nd+ for Middleton. Engvall is actually not bad this year, but maybe switch him out for a thirdround pick next year, if it makes the trade better for SJ.

Start with replacing Engvall with Knies

Wiesblatt isn't old enough to play in the AHL, which is why he's still in juniors. Robertson got to play NHL games because of the bubble. Either way, they're similar level prospects.

How does the difference make up for the 2nd+? Let's say for argument sake Robertson is equal to 2nd+prospect/pick. That leaves the rest of the trade as
Wiesblatt + Gadjovich for Engvall

That's terrible. Not to mention we'd be taking on Engvall's salary while giving you 3 players all making under 1M.

Wiesblatt is on one of the worst teams I’ve personally ever seen in Juniors. Robertson and Wiesblatt are at the very least similar level prospects. There’s no way the difference between them is a 2nd+. That’s just ignorant and dumb to say.

Poorly thought out trade proposals. Both teams say no to the first one, San Jose says no to the 2nd one.

But at D+2, Wiesblatt isn't lighting it up in the WHL, he's under a ppg, so he's not progressing as you'd hope? Robertson has proven that he can produce at a higher level (AHL). Unfortunately, he's can't crack the top 6 on the Leafs it seems, SJ would be a nice fit where he can get the playing time he needs to develop further. But yeah, if you view Engvall as terrible, then I see how this trade doesn't work. Lolz just don't suggest replacing Engvall with Knies. Knies is probably untouchable, as he fits a need for the Leafs.

Well the Sharks would like players who"fit a need" back

I mean... we are trading a LHD prospect for a RHD prospect... and we need more RHD. I like Sandin and I think he can be quite good, but he's also a valuable trade asset, if we go that route.

That’s funny. We feel the same about the Leafs package.
The only good piece is Middleton, thats the only piece that Toronto would somewhat need. Weisblatt is a couple years away if he ever makes it. 2nd rounder for Middleton plus a bit and thats as far as the trade should go. Robertson is a non starter for the rest of that meh.

Absolute no from Arizona
Crouse is barely a 2nd line player and thats with his shooting percentage way up and being fed minutes he would never see on a contender. If you love him keep him, he's not worth a 21 year old top 4 d.

Imagine how we felt when the OP offer contained nothing but crap.
Middleton is the only piece with any real value from the sharks and he won't get Robertson. The other pieces from the sharks hold little to no value. Take out everything but Middleton and the leafs would be fine paying a 2nd plus decent prospect for him.

I can say the same thing about Robertson that you said about Wiesblatt. But no continue to overrate your guys.
