Objective is indeed his PPG in the playoffs. Attributing team success to one player, is subjective.
Putting up more points this year, than last, is objective... not biased. Saying earlier he is in the top 30 of C's scoring this year, is objective. Saying he's a top C previously in this thread, in faceoffs, is subjective... it's a number.
"Doomed"... more dramatic than my teenage step-daughters. That's never been implied... just that there aren't better Free Agent options... which is true, and there hasn't really been any attempt to rebut that, just more drama. Y
You keep getting mad, and wanting to throw everything out, and continue to argue, but then present no options with how to make the team better... I mean that's the goal we ALL want right? Make the team better.... We are better off without him... as your rational.. The list is simple... Bennett, Granlund, Gourde, Duchene, Dvorak, Kerfoot... First two will be more expensive, neither are better, Bennett's play style will see a massive regression, Gourde is already regressing worse... though as a cheaper 3C, sure... Duchene, as a platoon C with Tavares would be great... Dvorak lol, Kerfoot LOL... I think if you can fit the cap in, you want Tavares PLUS one of the others... not instead of... and I've repeated that, and you've ignored it.
You must think of what the options are, if you are getting rid of him.... and which you think are better... How are you replacing him? What if they sign with someone else, and Tavares has moved on to?
To help you out, in this difficult time on being unable to read prior posts... I said I hope he comes in around $5-5.5 mil, on a deferred contract... I don't care if they pay him worth $7 mil... just get the cap down to the fives, or below... hell, give him a 8 years x $3 mil contract, and put him on LTIR when his equipment gets "itchy". When you assume someone feels $7 mil is a discount are far too lazy to even read what's been posted... what are you even trying to accomplish?
