Guys like KV/Svechnikov getting a chance and doing nothing with it. This should be a lesson for some fans who were pencilling them in in the top 6.I would send KV down to the AHL at this point and call Essymoint for some energy. He had one nice shot but nothing else.

Schmidt/Morissey pairing a tirefire and just surrendering the blue line for no reason rush after rush. Morrissey using his shot well on the PP though.

Good game by PLD. Need more of that physicality and "bull in a china shop" mentality from him night in and night out.

Did Stastny play? So far he looks like a waste of the $3.8 million or whatever we spent on him.

Getting outshot and outchanced by a bottom 5 team is not a good look for Maurice

Were there any fans in the arena? It sounded as quiet as library on tv. Low energy crowd.

So in short- the Jets sucked, the coaches sucked and the crowd sucked. One of the worst home openers I can remember.

Thought we got better as the game went on. Still tons of details that need to be a ton better but it was a start. 1st was a real struggle then we started see glimpses of some good things.

Defensive zone, breakouts and the pk is still frustratingly bad. Easily the biggest issue. Constant turnovers, rarely win 50-50 pucks, failed clears, always chasing the play which leads to penalties.

Helle is better the more shots he sees. He shut it down when the game was close.

PLD with his best game as a Jet.

Also want to pump Copp's tires. He wanted a bigger role and he is getting it and then some early into the season. Dude is playing first line, big minutes and in every situation and didn't look out of place tonight. Defensively responsible on a defensive disaster of a team. First PK over the boards. Finding ways to get on the score sheet. I liked his game tonight.

guy lives on the ledge, I remember two years ago when he got called out on it and people pointed at his avatar which he claimed he was going to change it but we were winning and he didn't want to jinx it. now it's been 2 off seasons and still no change
