New Jersey, Detroit, Washington, NY Islanders, and Buffalo likely fighting for a playoff spot in the East, will be interesting to see who gets in and who doesn’t, agree big drop off towards the bottom in the East.

Last year I would have said no.

This year Edmonton is the team to beat. The signings this year they did with a lot of players in contract years. We will see a ton of play.

I'd have to say they are current stanley cup favourites.

Not that there’s an issue with the list, but is the East less competitive than most of us think? The Rangers stars are career sub-PPG players and how often does a duo like Coyle-Zacha lead their team to win it all?

Bruins signed Elias Lindholm to push Coyle and Zacha down the lineup. They should be better than last year.

Edit: unless they really screw up this Swayman situation
