No point in rushing into giving up assets for a top winger when we aren't a winger away from being contenders. Sure the offense is struggling right now, but that is more because there is nothing coming from the top line, our secondary scoring has actually been okay. The Flames need to solidify their defense before even thinking about yet another forward.

I don't know why they aren't playing Brouwer on that top line. Seems like a fit to me

You'd trade Giordano for a younger version of Hudler? Screw that.

Stones has more defensive capabilities in his pinky than hudler did... the 2 has nothing in common. Would i trade gio at 32 who hasnt played at his top level since the contract for a young 60pt winger whos great defensively as well? Hell yeah i would

they're both soft complimentary wingers. Stone is the type of player we are trying to get away from

Haha you have no idea what you're talking about, Stone would be the best all around forward on your team.

Ottawa says Brodie or GTFO

Keep him, please. Frankly outside of Karlsson I wouldn't target a single Senators player.

cant help but think id love to move jimmy hayes. is he a good option for first line? is he better than calgarys other options?

I could actually help Calgary out more by giving them adam macquaid too. I see Calgary only has 3 dmen signed for next season.

and just to make this deal too sweet to turn down, boston can take widemans contract back.

make it hayes, mcquaid, and a 3rd
for
wideman and a second...

I think the trade works for Calgary... its not perfect for them... but I think it helps them

as for boston, I'm really just trying to get rid of contracts next year. id hope wideman bounced back if he had a fresh start but I'm not counting on a lot out of him. I'm happy with carlo/k miller/c miller as my right shot dmen so wideman might be a 7th dman for us.

I didn't ask for anything. Stone IMO is probably the most overrated player in the NHL

Sure bud.

Watch a few more games rather than scoring sheet watching. Most takeaways last year, good two way guy. Extremely intelligent. Only thing g holding him back from being a top 10 player in the league is a lack of foot speed which is only average.
