Are these the top lines this season heading into the break?

Who is missing?

Robertson-Hintz-Johnston
Connor-Scheifele-Vilardi
Drouin-Mackinnon-Necas
Knies-Matthews-Marner
RNH-McDavid-Hyman

Panarin line? Also, does Drouin even play with MacKinnon? Game I watched vs EDM on Friday he wasn’t

Ovechkin-Strome-Protas
Isn’t Wilson on that line, not protas?

Tkachuk - Barkov - Reinhart
Guentzel Point Kucherov
are right there

Voronkov Monahan Marchenko
have been great this year.
Not sure that barkov line is used much, plus don’t think tkachuk has had a top 5 line season.

Monahan line was great, but thought he was injured long term.

Not sure if put them I. Top 5 heading into the break - even though I’d want to - go jackets!!!

Isn’t DomI on that line and Marner with Tavares?

I honestly don’t watch enough leafs to know so I’ll defer to you.

Minimum of 70 minutes as Necas has recently arrived in Colorado.

Am I the only one that is starting to hate expected goals for, expected goals saved, etc.

Like it’s a nice additional stat to provide context, and a window into maybe sustainability or puck luck - but god damn, how is it the end all be all?

How about - ya know, we look at actual goals or points scores when looking at forwards. Or actual save percentage?

I actually love the concept of expected stats, hate its usage or how people defer to it as THE metric.

Anyways, rant mode over.

Back to topic - I think it’s to early and too small a sample soze to include MacKinnon and necas line in top 5 forward lines going into the break.

What?
That's as good as it gets for best line...it says regardless who is playing on his line he has the best outcome this season of all lines.

Huh? Apparently math doesn't apply when you've got glaze over your eyes.

best player =/= best line

Edit: for all the talk Draisaitl has gotten this year he's only 1 point above Kucherov in 3 more games and 4 behind Mackinnon, you'd think he was leading the league by a mile the way EDM fans are talking lmao

MacKinnon on the list 3 times lol
The poster only used xGF ( not against in combination) and Shot attempts for...the best you can chose in this scenario xGF% because that stat tells you both ends of the ice (and shot attempts for per 60 is as random as it gets).
But at least it's something.

Kucherov line has the best xGF% right now.

As I already mentioned, you can choose one of his line combinations and you will be near the top and somewhere around the top...I didn't chose one because there are more options than one.
