Maybe, he's having a career year and has a young family. He's played for 6 different teams over the last 4 years. I think he would be willing to take a cheap multi year deal where he is appreciated to not have to upriot his family again

I don't doubt that's a serious possibility. We don't have a ton of options of the right side in development so will need to sign someone. If he's enjoyed it here and wants to settle down, I think we can offer that.

But I wouldn't doubt if someone else offers him more than we do. So it comes down to what his priorities are.

Seems like he would be a nice stop gap and support for the guys the Ducks already have. With mobile, transition partners, he can be a decent option.
