AFAIK, He is not a playmaker. He is a sniper, big and selfish. Kovalchuk clone.
when I saw him play he was very unselfish, playmaker, created room for others and dished off the puck a lot, sometimes a bit too much, I only saw him play live 5 times though, if you saw more he could have changed his game or working on shooting maybe, but I saw him live so I was just going by what I saw those 5 times.

other guys who I like to try to put in the 1t round...Alexander Barkov, Philippe Desrosiers, Jordan Subban, Scott Savage, Ryan Hartman, Darnell Nurse.

Nice list but it's seems that alexander ''Sasha'' Barkov jr. is best prospect from finland for the 2013 draft atm. Has size, smart, 2way player, calmness. does everything very well. Downside is his clumsy skating atm but it is because hes growing alot. His dad was a professional hockeyplayer with size and his mother was an pro athlete(basketball player)? So he should have room to grow to 6'3. I would describe him a talented russian with finnish work ethic. His dad is head coach of Big KHL team. Overall i can't remember many as talented age groups from finland than this. Alot of 1st ,2nd round talents but alot can happen in 2 years.

Scoutman, what's you take on Swedish top prospects Anton Cederholm (D), Lucas Wallmark (C) and Andreas Johnson (RW)? I was at least expecting to see Wallmark in the top 30...
Might as well throw in Elias Lindholm (C) here, an excellent playmaker.

Cederholm - Big, Strong, very mobile, good puck handler, excellent in his own zone, has a good shot from the point, very smart, I like his size, strength, and IQ he is a big tie d-man in the making

Wallmark - I like this guys playmaking ability, he has excellent hands, vision, moves well with and without the puck but knows how to open up space for his guys on the ice.

Johnson - I like his speed, hands, great goal scoring ability, he is exciting to watch...big time player.

Lindholm - myself I like all the other players more than him, Lindholm is an excellent playmaker, needs to improve his shooting though IMO, needs to take his shots a bit more.

Thanks a lot for your input Scoutman. I haven't seen Cederholm play yet, but I agree with your view of the others. Do you think any of them could crack the top 30?

6'01 180 ( as reported during draft).

I've seen him quoted at 6'2 in some articles, but he does not seem that tall. I am 6 foot, and he is taller than me last time I saw him (two months ago), but not by much.

Anyone know anything about Domenic Graham for Drummondville? He played a lot of games this season when he was supposed to be the back-up. And he's the only 2013 eligble goalie on the Canada U-18 invite list.

Some clips from Alexander Barkov Jr. playing junior playoffs. he plays like his dad did. Good at boards, very sneaky, skating speed seems to be good but it's bit clumsy, lethal shot, when hes off the puck hes very good at finding free spots, he usually make pass first instead of shooting, he is very good PKer, Positioning, blocking shots. Should use more of his wrister because it's accurate and hard.

nearly 2014 draftee.

My favourite draftee for 2013 draft from finland is this guy tho

http://eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=50674

Big and skilled foward, he have been in the shadows of Juuso Ikonen who is 2013 draftee aswell. Koivistoinen could be 2nd 3rd rounder if he developes well in 2 years.

Koivistoinen is nice..

but..

Ristolainen is solid gold.

Ristolainen is good and is projected to go higher but i like Koivistoinen because of his playing style, i don't expect him to be drafted before Ristolainen. Ristolainen has problems with positioning in defensive zone tho he needs to fix that, but good speed, hands, reading the game, size hes whole package.

Haha Ristolainen hates sharks.

Coming from a Wheaties fan, Pulock has to be ahead of Roy on that list. Although that could definitely change by the time of the draft. Only thing I think Roy has on Pulock is size.

I believe Roy has more talent and upside than Pulock, but does he have the drive and commitment to match that high end talent? This season should go a long way to showing us the answer! You have to think that these 2 guys could both go top 10 in 2013....

#LHJMQ:Le 1er choix du dernier encan midget Nathan Mackinnon sera échangé aux Mooseheads, une conf.de presse aura lieu mercredi à B-Comeau.

Top prospect for 2013 NHL draft Nathan MacKinnon has been traded to Halifax. Very good chances that he will report to the Q next year..playing near his hometown and family.

I love Sean Monahan. He's the most impressive forward prospect imo we've had on the 67's since Mark Bell. And lets not forget how good of a junior player Mark Bell was.

I heard that MacKinnon is a Sidney Crosby-type. And the similarites are alarming!!

- Both very young for their draft year (Sid born 8/7 and Nathan born 9/1)
- Both are Nova Scotia products (Sid, Cole Harbor and Nathan, Dartmouth)
- Both play the center ice position
- The last letter of the first and last name are the same
- Both attended Shattuck St. Mary's
- Both are/were the next draft following CBA renegotiations.
- Could both be the prime target in a league-wide lottery??? Oy, I sure hope not!!!
