Let me set something straight right from the start. I did a lot of research looking at players from different countries and what they were all about. I did not choose certain players in this list strictly because I'm Canadian, but because they will be playing big roles for their teams.

I will queue the feedback anyways, whether negative or positive. Or even share where you think players should have been in your opinion!!

Hmm. While Saros is a really intriguing goalie prospect and we are going to rely on him performing well, for me it's Kapanen and Puljujärvi that I'm looking forward to see in action from team Finland. Kapanen because he really has stepped up his game since the draft (and IMO he should be one of the top forwards for the Finns), and Puljujärvi because he's projected to be a top 3 pick in 2016 right now.

Kapanen was one of my honourable mentions. I do think he is a great player but I don't think he measures up to the players on the list in the top ten. As for Puljujarvi, while he is an intriguing prospect, I feel he will be worth more of a mention next year.

Saros is a odd choice because there is a possibility that he will not be even the number one goalie for Finland.

Kapanen or Honka would have been much better choices if you need to include a Finn to your list.

Fair enough. For sure Puljujärvi is going to be one of the top players to watch next year. I do think that Saros is the Finn who needs to bring his top game if team Finlands wants to go deep in this tournament :)

.
This is true as well though. Now to think of it, Husso just might steal the starter job from Saros if Saros is shaky. Even though Saros was a monster last year, this year him and Husso have been quite even. I guess that's why I'd rather put Kapanen to his place and both Husso/Saros as a honorable mention.

With what Saros brings to the table, I think it would be a very bad decision not to have him as the starter.

He basically won that game against Sweden for his team to win the gold last year.

If you want more people to read your piece, you should make it all one page instead of forcing people to click 13 links to read one article.

Eh, I think Saros will start. He's an amazing goalie and definitely a guy to watch. Him and Kapanen are on the same level for me.

I like the list and the little writeups on each player. Thanks, and nice work.

It's quite difficult to have all the text and pictures on one page without making it look like a 12 year old's bedroom. It's definitely more organized on separate pages.

Thanks, appreciate it!

IMO the list is:

Connor McDavid: Simple, he's a draft eligible player with speed, great hands, off the charts hockey IQ, and strong on the puck. Coming off a broken hand, we'll see if he shows up or if the injury rusted him up.

Jack Eichel: In a battle with McDavid for first obviously, got a great shot along with tons more upside and is getting lots of ice time and experience at Boston U.

Martin Reway: Produced huge in last years WJC, and will be a massive factor in Slovakia trying to make an upset.

Kevin Fiala: Nashville prospect with lots of upside will be looking to impress scouts and will be the offensive catalyst for a very stingy Swiss offense.

Kasperi Kapanen: We will see in this tournament if Pittsburgh will have a solid forward to add to the already great team.

Joe Hicketts: Least heard of player on team Canada who virtually came out of nowhere to take the WHL by storm.

Russian Goaltending: Will it be Sorokin or Shestyerkin? Both goaltenders will battle all tournament for the starting job.

Andre Burakovsky: The speedy winger should have no problem putting up points at this tourny, especially with his finesse and knowledge.

Zack Werenski- Projected to go around 20-25 in most mock drafts, this crafty defenseman has a lot of flash in his game and this tournament could add more value to his stock. Watch for Werenski to step up for the Americans in the tourney.

Darnell Nurse- Did the Oilers do the right thing sending him back to juniors? Will he help the struggling Oilers in the future? Just a couple of many questions we could ask about Nurse right now. This big defenseman will look to prove the Oilers wrong in performing highly this WJC.

No Fiala... SMDh

Appreciate the feedback.

It is indeed very difficult to make a top ten list, was expecting others to have a lot of different opinions. Could have made the honourable mentions list at least 10-15 players longer lol.

I know what Saros can bring to the table, but Husso is just as good and one bad game from Saros and good games from Husso and starter job might as well go to Husso. And other way around. I have nothing against Saros, its just that Finns are spoiled with goalies and either way we are set to go, but saying Saros is undisputed #1 is way too early.

Kapanen in the other hand is the leading force of Finnish forward group and if he can't deliver theres nobody to cover his slack.

Nice list, if definitely agree all these are interesting players to keep an eye on.

I was going to read it, but then I saw it was a slideshow and bailed. Just being honest.

Understood. We understand some don't like slideshows, but some like to have pictures accompanying the players and that is hard to do without it being organized. Pleasing everyone is tough to do.

Appreciate the feedback though. We'll take everything in to account for future articles!

Oh I know all of team Canada could be mentioned since we're looking to win since 09 and are basically expected to win it every year. Bjorkstrand, Ehlers, Tuch, Hanifin, Mueller, Saros, Kylington, Demko, Schmalz and soooo much more could be added!!!

This, pretty much. It is not incorrect to praise Saros - but what a lot of people (including the OP) seem to be missing is that Husso is equally great. Russia's tandem was deservedly recognized in the piece, but Finland's is at least as good - if not better.

Refuse to even look past the first page simply because of the stupid ass format it's in. Idk why this is a recent trend with online articles but it needs to stop. Unless you are breaking up walls and walls of text with separate pages there is no need what-so-ever to separate it the way that is for a couple of sentences about each player.

I've never seen people complain about the format of articles on one page. And yet several people have already complained about the slideshow format in this short thread. The only reason I can think you'd use the slideshow is for advertising.
