Is there a plan for him to play higher than the Allvensken next year?
Right now he’s unsigned for next year. He got loaned to the SHL for a game this season I saw but didn’t play.

Right now they lead the league so if they get promoted, he could play next year in the SHL.

Sergei Murashov super sleeper. Penguins are loaded with prospect goalies. Good problem to have
Pretty remarkable that he's 11-0-0 in the AHL this year since getting promoted to Wilkes. Ties John Curry (2008-2009) for the longest win stream in WBS history, and he's doing it in his first 11 games. A little bit of luck involved in such a streak as he's had a couple 3 and 4 goal allowed games, but pretty incredible nonetheless.

They should call him up

He's still just 20 in his first professional season in NA and the Penguins have a bit of a logjam at goalie right now. No need to rush him. Pittsburgh is a mess and Joel Blomqvist (2020 2nd rounder) struggled pretty badly in his time up in the NHL this year.

My guess would be that if Murashov continues to perform like this, post deadline 2025-2026 is an aggressive ETA - pending Jarry/Nedeljkovic are out of the picture by then. But that's a big if as young goalies are notoriously hard to project year to year - case in point Blomqvist who had a stellar 2023 season.

Not sure why they haven't called up Filip Larsson at this point either.

I'm more than comfortable putting Hampton Slukynsky on this list right now.

Kid has been absolutely fantastic the last two years. People need to be paying more attention to this guy. Putting Western Michigan on his shoulders in the NCAA tourney right now.

Who’s the better goalie prospect: Slukynsky or Carter George? Still a long way to go but they might end up be sharing the same net at some point.
