Sure Anne kopitar was there.
Who got taken after boucher?
I don’t think people were upset that you compared them lol. They’re just not very similar.
Also you said this right after last season and no one was happy with chychrun. I would not be happy if we get last years version of chychrun from Yakemchuk. Of course he looks to be trending worse
You cannot call an elite skater and a guy who is a bad skater similar players. That COMPLETELY changes each of their gamesFor 2005, Luc Bourdon and Marc Staal were also obvious choices
And for 2021, this was McKenzie's list after the first 9 guys were gone :
10 Chaz Lucius
11 Cole Sillinger
12 Jesper Wallstedt
13 Matthew Coronato
14 Fabian Lysell
15 Sebastian Cossa
16 Brennan Othmann
17 Fedor Svechkov
18 Isak Rosen
19 Zachary Bolduc
They would have been much much better choices and if we were to reach, I wish it would have been for a guy like Stankoven (27th on Bob's list). Boucher was 29th on his list. Bolduc has 16 goals and 31 pts in 65 pts in his rookie season. I see some Bryan Rust in him. Coronato already has 20 goals and would have probably been the best choice here. Cossa is a very good goalie prospect, Wallstedt has great potential. Anyone but Boucher at 10th overall.
How are they not similar? Big bodies, good skaters, booming shot and goal scoring ability as D-men, not the greatest playmakers but produce offense, questionable all-around game and self-motivation...
Last year's Chychrun was never meant to be the whole Chychrun, he had some very good stretches of hockey when he was in Arizona... So now that we see a Chychrun utilized properly and who scored his 20th today, and now that Yakemchuk has a lot of confirmed question marks, that call was once again not outrageous as some were making it seem. It's a best case scenario for me.
I certainly hope so. If we’re witnessing a normally motivated Yalemchuk at the moment that’s a problem. In the Yakemchuk thread on the prospects forum somebody posted that they heard he requested a trade out of Calgary earlier this season due to issues with the new head coach.
Unconfirmed obviously, but I thought that was pretty interesting.
London with 12 goals in last 2 games and Montgomery with 1 assist.Calgary with 9 goals the last 2 games and Yakemchuk with no points.
He seems to not even be their go to d man. 10th overall should at least be the player their junior team counts on for everything.Calgary with 9 goals the last 2 games and Yakemchuk with no points.
Hitmen fans did a poll and they didn’t even think he’s their best d man lolHe seems to not even be their go to d man. 10th overall should at least be the player their junior team counts on for everything.
Somehow still not as offensive as taking Gabe Eliasson (we have like 5 clones of him) over Cole Hutson. He’s fine. Boucher was a bad pick. But Dillinger is no star.
Parekh Dickinson and buium look like legitimate stars all playing the same position
Honestly Hutson is whatever. I've seen advanced stats that say Cole is a defensive and possession blackhole who is legit only a weapon offensively unlike Lane. But there were many great forwards available like Battaglia, Ilya Protas, Walton, etc.Somehow still not as offensive as taking Gabe Eliasson (we have like 5 clones of him) over Cole Hutson.
lol They just thought he was their best playerHitmen fans did a poll and they didn’t even think he’s their best d man lol
That would be Oliver Tulk, who also won Top Player from the teamAsk the Hitman fans.lol
He’s their go to guy offensively, he’s not defensively. End of games defending leads and with the goalie pulled they switch up the lines to get Mynio and Hurtig out, like last night for a big kill at the end of the game.He seems to not even be their go to d man. 10th overall should at least be the player their junior team counts on for everything.
We were never taking Cole HutsonSomehow still not as offensive as taking Gabe Eliasson (we have like 5 clones of him) over Cole Hutson.
Yakemchuk received the prize for the team's favorite playerThat would be Oliver Tulk, who also won Top Player from the team
If it was just a fan poll it would be close between Tulk and Kindel.
Yes, the teams Fan Favorite award. Not team MVP or best player award. Chris Neil was the fan favorite for the better part of 2 decades.Yakemchuk received the prize for the team's favorite player
Once again, the question was who was voted the best player by Hitmen fans. Yaremchuk got that award. Everything else is complete nonsense from you.Yes, the teams Fan Favorite award. Not team MVP or best player award. Chris Neil was the fan favorite for the better part of 2 decades.
At the same awards ceremony Oliver Tulk took home the Top Player of the year for the Hitmen, and Hurtig took home the Top D for the Hitmen.

2024-25 Calgary Hitmen Awards - Calgary Hitmen
Player Of the Year Presented by Ed Williams Men’s Wear – Oliver Tulk In his fourth season with the Calgary Hitmen, this player has once again elevated his game as a dynamic two-way centre. Reaching the 100 point mark for the first time in his career, this recipient has over 30 multi point games…chl.ca

Once again, it was the Fan Favorite award...the fans favorite player, not best player. There was no fan vote on the team awards, the team chose those guys. Hurtig top D, Tulk MVP, Aura Top Rookie
The nonsense bit is ironic
I can't tell if you're serious? What's not clear to you here? The fans' favorite player. What are you trying to prove here?
