Lack of scoring is starting to become a concern. 5 goals against an abysmal Oilers defense is the alst significant output they've had. Before that it was Carolina and San Jose and Carolina just got 8 dumped on them by Tampa last night.

This was a very winnable game and they laid down for most of it. Very different looking team from a week ago.

Almost half the shots last night came from defensemen. We've had a good 4 games where the slot gets clogged and we can't get pucks on net, whether missing net completely and them getting blocked/broken up.

We looked really sluggish and WPG owned the NZ with their speed.
Need 4 or 5 of 6 pts against OTT, TOR and MON to keep pace for 3rd spot in Atlantic.

Last night was frustrating af, but I'm not concerned at this point tbh. Go through the bullshit now so it can be fixed and corrected before May and June.

Really only scored 4 against Edmonton, the 5th was an empty net goal.

Good that awful game is behind us. Really didn’t think we’d win anyway cause it’s the Jets and likely didn’t help being Bones’ first game back. Moving on to the next one.

OEL played fine I thought, honestly most of the D was fine save for Uvis getting walked like a dog. We only gave up 2. Our forwards were putrid though tonight.
Uvis was not good, as well as Fors. He got beat on the short side once and fell down, not a good one.

The forward group as a whole did not play well. I thought the best forward was Gadjo, which is a bad sign.
As someone who's been in more than their share of fights when I used to play hockey, I was cringing when Sam was fighting. Obviously he was trying to spark his team, but the Winnipeg player took advantage big time. He's a fighter, Sam is not. When the Winnipeg player started the fight, The linesmen should have recognized Sam does not fight and he was way over his head there. They should've stopped the fìght way before they did. I was getting seriously riled up watching it.

I feel like every time I watch E rod play, He is lying on the ice. He seems very easy to knock off the puck. He doesn't really seem to have a true finishing ability. E-rod seems to play in the middle more often than not, but because of his lack of ability to stay on the puck and size, I would think he's more of a perimeter player.

Bob was really good last night. He made multiple unreal saves.

Ultimately, It was not the best game last night, but Winnipeg played good. Their coach was returning after weeks off because of his wife's health issues.

I'm really not concerned, it’s the end of November.

I don't like it that they have some kind of thanks day during the season. Too much vodka drinking and the game immediately after that. It's not working. Xmas break is coming soon. So why they have that kind of rest day now.

American Thanksgiving is about good old fashioned gluttony, not drinking.

Quarter of the season done and the team is 22nd is scoring. The same team that has been top three in scoring the past five years. Maurice may be the right coach for the playoffs but this physical grind is suffocating the teams' offensive game. Or that's my take so far. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Bruh just pick a place already

As close as Zito and Kane are apparently, I hope this is Zito just helping Kane out by drumming up some interest and we pass on his services and reevaluate in offseason if he shows well the final 50 games of this year.

Promote some of the AHL guys if need be until trade deadline and make move(s) then. I'm over this Kane drama already.

As some of our family is starting to arrive here in Cali, I won't be around starting tomorrow till maybe Thursday and depending on how everything goes. Maybe longer.

My dad's memorial and funeral is going to be on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Again, I appreciate and love yall. You guys are like my panthers family that I don't have the luxury of having around me. Thank you for helping me get through the last month. It has been difficult. I still have you in mind @Laus723 but so far, I've been managing my really bad days...somehow.

My dad's funeral on Wednesday will actually be live streamed starting at 2PST. I don't expect anyone here to be there but if you have an interest, you can dm me. I may or may not see it.

I'll talk to you guys when I talk to you guys again.

Here for ya man. Enjoy the day as much as you can. You’ll hear a lot of stories about him, there will be lots of laughs and of course a lot of tears. Soak in your family. Sorry you’re going through this, just take each day as it comes. Save the below, look back on it and reread it as the years go by. It’s the best thing I’ve ever seen written about about losing loved ones. It was written on Reddit 12 years ago.

“As for grief, you’ll find it comes in waves. When the ship is first wrecked, you’re drowning, with wreckage all around you. Everything floating around you reminds you of the beauty and the magnificence of the ship that was, and is no more. And all you can do is float. You find some piece of the wreckage and you hang on for a while. Maybe it’s some physical thing. Maybe it’s a happy memory or a photograph. Maybe it’s a person who is also floating. For a while, all you can do is float. Stay alive.

In the beginning, the waves are 100 feet tall and crash over you without mercy. They come 10 seconds apart and don’t even give you time to catch your breath. All you can do is hang on and float. After a while, maybe weeks, maybe months, you’ll find the waves are still 100 feet tall, but they come further apart. When they come, they still crash all over you and wipe you out. But in between, you can breathe, you can function. You never know what’s going to trigger the grief. It might be a song, a picture, a street intersection, the smell of a cup of coffee. It can be just about anything…and the wave comes crashing. But in between waves, there is life.

Somewhere down the line, and it’s different for everybody, you find that the waves are only 80 feet tall. Or 50 feet tall. And while they still come, they come further apart. You can see them coming. An anniversary, a birthday, or Christmas, or landing at O’Hare. You can see it coming, for the most part, and prepare yourself. And when it washes over you, you know that somehow you will, again, come out the other side. Soaking wet, sputtering, still hanging on to some tiny piece of the wreckage, but you’ll come out.

Take it from an old guy. The waves never stop coming, and somehow you don’t really want them to. But you learn that you’ll survive them. And other waves will come. And you’ll survive them too. If you’re lucky, you’ll have lots of scars from lots of loves. And lots of shipwrecks.”

That has always been the biggest knock on him throughout his whole career, and also obvious on on his first days in FLA. The guy kills all creativity which also translates to an abysmal PP

Eh. Even last season though we ended up being 6th in G/GP and 10th in PP%.

Worse than the previous seasons but nothing I'd call abysmal.

Atm though we are ranked 22nd in G/GP and 25th in PP%. It's definitely concerning, but I don't think it stays that bad as the season goes on. We are also somehow 2nd in our division despite our mediocre team stats. #MauriceMagic:sarcasm:

That's because our skill and talent level is actually so high that not even PoMo can completely shut it off. With him it's all about dump, chase, grind it out.

Don't get me wrong, I am fine with that since this style gives you better odds in the POs. It just makes a much harder watching in the regular season. Missing our biggest PP weapon in Monty for the beginning of the season did not help. Him and Ek clearly need some more games to get back where they were.

I am actually warming towards getting Kane. Could be a good scoring driver in the regular season.
