Post-Game Talk: Too much MSG gives you a headache (yes, another game)

Forgot there was even a game and frankly it doesn't bother me to know I missed it. Not something I would have said in my 25+ years of watching this team.

Also we've never been this bad. Ok maybe talent wise we've been worse, but as a team no. Even in those expansion years when the talent was thin you had a hope of winning each and every night. I have no expectation we will win any night for the rest of the year.

McCarron and Smith both have 14 minutes on ice tonight. 28 developmental minutes lit on fire.

Fanduel showing "Predators Goal" as the banner for the 4-0 goal was the cherry on top
Gonna have to disagree. We don't want our good prospects "developing" in this toxic environment. We want them in Milwaukee playing for an AHL championship under a good coach

Sometimes young players need a bit of reset. I hope we scratched him for his development and not because we wanted to get our career AHLers into lineup.
How about we do a reset on the vets that arent doin jack? Svechkov isnt the problem. I get he may have some issues and deserve a scratch but there is a list of players id scratch before him. Putting Lucchini in there for 8 minutes and madly shuffling the lines obviously isnt the answer

With young players the calculus is different. You are looking at big picture and trying to get him to a level. It isn't necessarily about effort, but to allow him to take a breath. I don't disagree that scratching vets for lack of effort makes sense, but that is different issue.

I would be content to finish out the season with...

Forsberg - O'Reilly - Marchessault
Novak - Sissons - Stamkos
Lucchini - McCarron - Smith
Waiver claim - Waiver claim - Waiver claim

Skjei - Barron
Englund - Blankenburg
Waiver claim - Schenn

.... because then Milwaukee can be:

L'Heureux - Svechkov - Kemell
Bellows - O'Reilly - Evangelista
Ozzy - Marino - Rolston
Denisenko - Pavel - Ylonen
Bjork - Reedy - DeLeo

Del Gaizo - Ufko
Stastney - Livingstone
Gravel - Friedman

... of course we picked up all those extra F in Milwaukee, so in reality we're not going to need 5 lines and realistically at least 3 of L'Heureux, Svechkov, Bellows, and Evangelista will stay up with the Preds. But I'd err on the side of sending the younger ones down, Svechkov first. And then if Jankowski gets back, send another down. Or if we're going to miss any Clear Day deadlines, at least temporarily bounce anybody like Lucchini, Bellows, and Del Gaizo down just to make sure they're eligible for the AHL playoffs anyway. The Ads season is going to last longer than Nashville's.

I'm not convinced that Preds team could beat that Ads team in 7 game series.

They dont have to be waiver claims. There has to be a team willing to give up a little something to dump some cap for end of the year deadline trades.

Also, englund makes me miss lauzon.... this is not a good thing.

I'm not sure I believe we even really have many "good" prospects at this point. Some middle 6ers, a bunch of tweeners, some 4th line fodder, and then guys that would be better in Europe. That includes the ones we gave away.

Man this season of suck has really messed up our perspective around here. Yeah, we suck bad but we still have good prospects on the horizon...hopefully.
