With the regular season rapidly approaching the final stretch with the deadline just a few days away, it seems likely we dont see the change in goal song this year. If you could change the goal song to anything you want, what would you want to see them use next season or maybe even in the playoffs if they were to change it by the end of the year?

A few i think would be funny that kind of go with some "Tampa" related things:

With Tampa being a hotbed for WWE superstars to live and the ongoing joke of WWE playoff avatars- Kingdom by Downstait would be an instant popular one with the crowd screaming "WOOOOAHHHHH"

After his multiple appearances during games and one of his songs being our playoff win song- Supa Good by Yung Gravy gives us an upbeat party atmosphere for everyone to enjoy or just go with "Gravy Train"

Tampa being known for its Hispanic roots (Mostly Cuban)- An absolute classic and a song everyone would know: Conga by Gloria Estefan

Sticking with Vo Williams but just picking a better song and using "I AM THE STORM" feels like it works better

And then just some other songs that have been used before or fit as a goal song

  1. Viva la Vida by Coldplay
  2. Thunder by Imagine Dragons
  3. Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes
  4. Jump by Kriss Kross
  5. Take on Me by Aha
  6. Jump Around by House of Pain
  7. Lido Shuffle by Boz Scaggs
  8. My Type by Saint Motel
  9. Thunder by Solence
  10. We Dem Boyz by Wiz Khalifa
  11. Swag Surfin' by F.L.Y.
  12. Goons by MONA
  13. Maria by Scooter
  14. Fluxland by XL

Given the area's near categorical obsession with pop music, you could have had Uptown Funk, Cake By The Ocean, Blurred Lines. I'm not even arguing they're good songs. I'm arguing they were better than what we got and they're at least catchy

We have had our opportunities to capitalize on wrestling in Tampa and we refused that too

I listened to dozens of goal songs when the criticism of the current song started. Hockey, soccer, home runs, touchdowns. All of it.

There's really only like 15 core songs that the bulk of teams across sports use. 'Freed from Desire' by Gala is pretty much the only female artist I can recall who has made a popular goal song (mostly Euro soccer.)

Gloria Estefan and Pitbull are mostly associated with Miami, which is definitely Florida's cultural capital.

So we're probably looking at a song by a dude (or dudes), that isn't particularly associated with South Florida.

Let the players pick their own, our goal songs have been terrible.
