Post-Game Talk: Too much MSG gives you a headache (yes, another game)

I want to be clear the team in front of our goalies is the main problem, but Mace just continues to say things that should get him committed to an insane asylum

I would guess by now they are all on the same page and no one is gonna shame anyone else for lack of effort

Wild to me. I never played at this level, obviously, but even in my rec leagues (or college level in other sports), during seasons like this most of us would be gritting it out there game after game trying to stick it to the other team, pointless as it may have been in the standings. Sure, wouldn't be a point in calling each other out, but hard to think pros, with all they've done to get here and play at this level, would be OK with this level of effort and performance.

Back in the day this would never have happened.

While I know many want to move Schenn, it would be a mistake because he appears to be the last bastion of toughness we have left.

If you’re going to have a fourth line like we do without talent, at least make them tough.

McCarron is tough too. Unfortunately none of the tough guys are productive NHLers.

Might very well be true.

Would be funny if the guys had a players only meeting and said, let’s play x system and screw Bruno. He can try to bench guys but if everyone agrees he can’t bench everyone.

Haha. If by tough you mean willing to drop the gloves and get his ass kicked, then by all means, he’s tough. Guy doesn’t finish checks any more. Softest 6’6” guy I’ve ever seen play. Toots would’ve eaten him for breakfast. Hell, Nichol would have as well.

No. We had 28 wins each of the first three seasons after expansion but that was back when they still had ties. If there had been shootouts we would have almost certainly had more than 30 wins each season. I don't see this team getting to 30. I really doubt they get to 28.
