Best comparable would be when Byfuglien crosschecked JT Miller in the neck 6 years ago. Byfuglien had a 4 games suspension for it.

Now thats 6 years ago and Wilson has an history... so I'm guessing 7-8 games.

Tom Wilson could powerbomb an old lady through a table and caps fans would defend it
I feel bad cause I pictured that happening and laughed. Reminds me of the movie “hot fuzz” and the dude just crushes the old gal with a double flying leg kick. Lol

punt this guy out of the league like Raffi Torres

Wilson just does not get it and you can't fix stupid...

so if you can't fix Wilson just end it for him and remove him already

what a pathetic excuse for a human, let alone an athlete...and Laviolete gave him the "A" on the jersey in this game or the game before, can't remember which one...

any coach that gives a player like Wilson with his history of Violence on the ice an "A" or a "C" on the jersey should be removed from the league as well

but then again, the NHL really does not give a shit about player safety so its not surprising.

Love to hate the guy. He probably is a bit of sociopath.

But we all know deep in our hearts we all would want a Wilson on our fave team.

I don't know. You shouldn't have to defend against this kind of play. This play shouldn't be in the NHL and the players who play like this either need that drilled into their heads with HEFTY suspensions or bans.

Wouldn't call the Rangers soft for that.
Nah man, as a team you should always respond to that.

Too bad he’s talented but he can’t consistently control himself

I remember Sean Avery telling a story where he was chirping Sakic and Brett Hull went up to him and said you don't talk to Mr. Sakic.

Tom Wilson you don't slam, 170lb star Panarin head first into the ice and then continue to punch him. This guy has to go, he needs to a very lengthy suspension.

I mean yea cant deny hes a great player but his mental issues are insane.
Exaggerate much? About half of the players in the 90's did things like this on a regular basis. Did they all have mental issues? The league has become soft, its fans have become soft. It is what it is. I like Wilson, he's old school and creates entertainment.

He'll get a handful of games - if that - then go back to doing the same thing he always does.

The DoPShits surely won't take any real steps to stop it.

Everytime there's always that boarderlinr play days before. If the league cared about preventive measures things like that would create a talking and warning session before you get to these results.

Crushing a windpipe? wut...
Watch the video. His stick is under a players neck. Instead of letting it go like a sane human being he pulls up, you can see his arms flex. Then with his stick still under said players neck he falls on the their upper half of their body. Player goes limp for a second. He finally lets go of the other end of the stick to do what? See if the player is ok, nope punch them in the back of the head as their face sits on the ice. Yes a kick is equal to that.
