The Canadiens are one of the worst teams in the league. I’m really wondering when we will win another game. I guess Dahlin is coming back. Maybe he can stop the bleeding.
habs fan here. it was obvious you guys were coming in too aggressive with the owner meeting thing, primed up. We needed Suzuki and Hutson to slow the game down for an easy win. Play them on seprate lines. We suck but arent stupid.

I beg to differ. Peterka is useless if he isn't scoring, he is invisible most of the game. Quinn isn't far behind.

These are "developing" players that were top prospects, and high draft picks they are f*cking up the development of as we speak. We have plenty of glimpses of these 2 being much closer to complete players than Olofsson ever was or going to be. Olofsson was older than both these guys before he came to the U.S. Olofsson was always going to be a specialist shooter. Olofsson is far more 1 dimensional than either of those guys project to be.

maybe Granato was not a bad coach after all.....at least they were entertaining
It was just until the league figured it out at the end of 22-23.
Last year was the same bore as this.
Also he had a fetish of forcing wingers at C.
Maybe under a different coach Cozens would be a winger for the last 2 years already and Mitts not traded.
Maybe Joker would be gone already.
Ruff knows at least what players are good for but he inherited the already gutted C spine.
Adams while completely incompetent, seems to listen the coaches input for better or worse.

They should just sit him until he is 100%
The season is done and he seems to have some recurring issues by playing through injuries.

I thought Terry was wrong to interfere, but can't fault him too much for believing a reassuring message would help. It was an earnest mistake.

But it backfired in such spectacular fashion that it's hilarious in hindsight.
Its like visiting troops in Stalingrad.

Dahlin is also bad when it comes to actual defending.
Dude you are wrong. Dahlin is the best and most valuable player on this team, he is not elite in defense, but he is solid. They can't win a single game without Rasmus and even screwed up one period with AVS without him. Stop talking nonsense please. Thx.

This is Dahlin playing with injury back and barely playing physically.

due to personal reasons I can't stick up for billionaires or someone I don't know personally

this game in Montreal which I missed first b.s. goal but saw it go 2 to 0

after that the team started to respond cozens made a good play , Quinn played well , the b.s. call on Benson should have not been called or on both

TWO 5 ON 3 against us ,same as other ganevw one but what bullshit always isn't likely a team wins w two . I actually thought we played well h
got pissed and were going to.smike them at 3 to 1 and then 5 in 3 power can play o,but out of position etc bullshit narrative this was a good effort and even ruff admitted we got no calls

season not over yet if Quinn continues to play well and fookin D calms down and disrespects everyone in opposing jersey

we'll see as narrative ramps up

still FIRE ADAMS
, if dahlin was injured in training camp then he ( Adams) needs to be gone

if we had a good physical D like the shite Carlson capitals to make up for Sammy and dahlin injuries this team if Quinn picks up is good enough up front to compete good exit passes

if dick Adams added a forward like a relentless drury briere we'd be in top 3 east

Duck You ya scared puss Kevyn shit head

No. The eye-test shows that he has some bad games as well, especially when it comes to defending. He's a overall good player and your best D. But do I think there are better defenders in a similar age? Heiskanen, Seiders and others? Yeah I do. Keep on showing fancy stats and convince yourself about whatever you want.
The thing is, who knows if its your shitty system or franchise status and if he would actually be good elsewhere. But I'm not saying he completely shit like Powers. Dahlin is a good player but not as good as many seem to hype him up to. He needs to better at defending before I consider him ever being or becoming close to say Hedman and others level.
For me personally Dahlin isn't even a top3 Swedish D in todays NHL. He needs better defending D's around him because he's not good enough there. You'll see this when Sweden plays the 4 nation tournament.

He's not at all similar in style to EK65 but sometimes I just think some D's are good or produce in a season but their style of playing or- strengths and weaknesses will not win you cups and playoffs. EK65 oozes just that, at least in the NHL and for me. Dahlin could in worst case scenario become that. He doesn't play like EK65 but he sure does remind me more of him than say Hedman. Because he can produce and do flashy things in offense but what do you achieve with that? Being a good individual? Yeah perhaps. What more? And if you look at Sabres roster and system and talent level, that's not what you guys need. Individuals thinking about their own greatness. He's like your Eichel but in D, or actually perhaps not on that level even yet.
Another example is a D like Quinn Hughes. Some fans claim he's so good yapping there, yapping here and bla bla. I just don't even see the Canucks winning anything if he's your first guy in a franchise.

Of course you have a guy like Makar but he's a genius compared to other offensive minded D's. He's even won cups with mediocre goaltending. Quinn and Dahlin won't do that and neither won't most others.

No offense dude, but you're out to lunch. Watching a handful of Sabres games doesn't really make you qualified to say certain players are good or bad. Even if you are UPL's cousin.

Every player has bad games, what nonsense. How many of Dahlin's games have you seen in the last three seasons? If you don't see many games, you look at the metrics and you find out what Sabres fans think. No one is saying Dahlin is the best defenseman in the league, but he's up there with guys like Fox, Heiskanen, and guys like that. You have no idea what kind of player he is and you're making bad judgments based on some games.

Given the circumstances of this franchise, Dahlin was thrown into a tough environment right away and didn't have any good coaches or defensive partners around him, but he was one of the best defensemen in the NHL in 22-23 season, he played really well and his metrics were better than Fox and Makar and better than EK65. Dahlin is better than EK65 in defensively and he's a physical monster compared to Karlsson, even if he didn't score as many points.

This season he played with a back injury and still showed good play, although not consistently. Now the team can't do anything without him, they can't even last one period without him without allowing four goals.

He is an elite defenseman of the franchise, who plays 25 minutes a game, sometimes more, can play defense, is good at physical play, can play offense, so yeah, he is up there with these guys among the best, even if the franchise is trying to kill every player, he has not given up yet and continues to go.

Makar and Hughes are a little different type of players due to their skating and speed, but I disagree with you on this one too, I like Hughes more. You don't even understand the problem and are trying to be an expert, good luck.
