LOL I watched this live and just thought what a f***en douche Heyward was pulling his ring out. Jimmy Fox had the last laugh that's for sure. Ah man this was gold.

Riddle: what is Hayward's favorite classical author?

Did he write the Iliad and the Odyssey?

Oh, that's interesting. I thought I was pretty sensitive to that kind of thing, but hadn't noticed it. I'll watch out for it a bit more closely.
Im a twenty five-year fan and its the point I cant even watch the games with the local broadcast. The only time I go back to the kinds broadcast is when its the ducks or bruins. Those are the only ones that are worse

I guess I've been listening to Jim Fox since 1992, so ... 30 years. He's definitely changed, but the broadcast has changed for the better. His color commentary is more technical, if anything.

Tried to pay pretty close attention during game 63 against San Jose. Didn't notice a moment when I thought of Fox as having a Kings homer viewpoint. Wouldn't mind going back to the broadcast recording if someone could point me to a time code.

Yeah, I am anxiously awaiting all these homer clips too. Aside from aiding and abetting Faust wandering off the game call and getting ridiculously excited on any reviewable call -- he's just fine. He still pretty much takes the refs position on most calls and those he disagrees with he explains why.

To me, that's what is intolerable about it. He'll call a spade a spade but his excitement and him and faust talking about anything during gameplay drives me nuts. Oh and the way he over pronounces certain french names. Throw that in too lol

Perceptions vary. Been watching for over 20 years & haven't noticed a change in Fox worth mentioning, other than what time does to all of us.
