It is very easy to make a filling or a glaze homemade.

For the filling, you just have to cook down some fruits to make a jam. For the glaze, just mix some milk, vanilla and powdered sugar. Easy.

So this morning I brought @Finnish your Czech his daily strudel in bed. I forgot to put his icing on it the way he likes and when I went back to his room he had already done it himself. My boy sleeps with icing packets under his pillow!
