Muzzin & Brodie were probably his best moves. Hyman was coming to TO no matter what.

Really? Wonder why teams want him as GM, including one that won the Stanley Cup last year.He didn't do a "great job". There's been zero results. No success. None.
To use a baseball analogy, the guy inherited a team on third base, no outs, primed for the game winning hit.
He struck out. Five times.
So that makes him a fit here beyond reproach ?Really? Wonder why teams want him as GM, including one that won the Stanley Cup last year.
Even Shanahan wanted to bring him back.
No, as far as I'm concerned, they are all idiots airing their dirty laundry this week.So that makes him a fit here beyond reproach ?
Yes but the analogy fits.My favourite baseball analogy is baseball sucks.
It was time, core and Keefe are nextThey're still fans of this team as well.
I am not a Dubas guy per se and thought change was needed, but perhaps it's an opportunity to end a lot of the divisiveness about it.
I don't think they're intending to hire two guys and have them battle it out Roman style. Next GM should either be the new guy or Pridham, Shanny learned his lesson. It will be Lou Vs Dubas constantly again. Which was toxic
Yup. Undesreved loyalty killed him. He's dead Jim.Saying Dubas did all he could and it was on the players ignores his biggest failure: he believed in them. There are a lot of people who could see this group didn't have what it takes mentally but Dubas was blind to it which ultimately cost him his job.
Most people are Leaf fans first. I would bet that the number of Dubas fans that leave the board and follow Dubas to another team are the same number who followed Lou to the NYI.Best case scenario, all the Dubas fan club can f*** right off and leave this board for wherever Dubas lands. I don't don't about you guys, I'm a Leaf fan first, not a groupie for whoever is signing cheques.
If Florida traded him.Muzzin & Brodie were probably his best moves. Hyman was coming to TO no matter what.
the problem is, for many, simply showing up is expected to be considered "a great job".He didn't do a "great job". There's been zero results. No success. None.

You left out the worst - that horrible Tavares contract! Can you please explain to me what you see in this guy that makes him so infallible? I honestly do not get it whatsoever. Now before I continue. I do feel bad for him because of the amount of times he went to bat for Matthews, Marner and the other members of the core and the number of times that they let him down come playoff time. But other than that, I couldn't be happier that he's gone. Because look at the long laundry list of blunders that he's made here.
- Kadri for Barrie & Kerfoot
- Trading a 3rd for David Rittich
- Trading a 1st for Foligno
- Signing Mrazek than having to use a 1st to offload him
- Protecting Holl over McCann in the expansion draft
- Paying Marner $11m when that was no where near the market rate for a right winger at the time.
- Trading Marchment for Malgin.
- Trading for an injury prone has been in Murray
And these are just off the top of my head. There was many more. Not to mention the fact that in the 5 years that he was here, they only made it past the first round once. And even in that series they got out played in 5 out of the 6 games.
It's like I said. I just don't get the love and the borderline "I'm done with this team if they get rid if Dubas" mentality that some of you have on here.
Make it make sense.
Should be only two more years, if the new GM can hang on until JT is gone. They will get to experience the same soon enough with the next GM.
Oh it will be glorious, and I cannot wait for it! Gonna be a shitshow for yeaaaars!
Which people are upset? Some think it wasn't the rightvl move. I have not seen any one stating that they are upset. Disappointed maybe, but not upset.I can’t figure out why there is a select group that adore Dubas. Maybe it’s because Dubas is similar to them regarding having zero clue how to build a team and relying on spreadsheets? It’s funny how the Dubas jock junkies are upset. Hopefully they follow him to wherever he ends up. Hopefully in the Atlantic division as that will help future playoff success.
There’s posters saying the leafs are now in dark times. Lol.Which people are upset? Some think it wasn't the rightvl move. I have not seen any one stating that they are upset. Disappointed maybe, but not upset.
You misunderstood what I meant. I meant whoever the new GM, it will be Dubas Vs New GM just how it was with Lou Vs DubasIt was time, core and Keefe are next

You think other teams have the resources, training facilities, medical staff, analytics, management team the Leafs have?Calling the Leafs’ GM job “cushy” is an astounding lack of awareness. It’s anything but.
