I still want to see Copp with Connor and Ehlers... I liked them earlier this year. Just had no puck luck.

Post-game audio:

Players: Harkins, Hellebuyck and Beaulieu.

Coach Maurice scrum topics: His thoughts on the third line. Harkins scoring his first NHL goal. Does the message (going to the net) get easier to sell when you are getting results? Going down to five D. Update on Sbisa? Play of Connor Hellebuyck. Not giving up many goals the last four games.

Binnington out again to prove he was a flash in the pan. You love to see it.

He seems nervous, someone should tell him to not be so nervous.

Beating the Blues twice in a row is something to build on, the Blues definitely were on their game tonight and the Jets showed there is still some life in the season. Even if they aren't winning a cup this year a playoff appearance is within reach.

Quietly and without notice, the Hellebuyck thread slips away to page 2.....

That thread needs a pinned post that reads "Abandon hope, all ye who enter here" or some such.

Also, what the hell is with that giant burger there @GeorgeJETson? What the hell do you call that thing, the "And A Small Diet Coke" burger? Definitely a fitting representation for the, uh.. "well-oiled" nature of the GWG :)

Well, I was trying to search for the greasiest burger, and that image came up. (Tried looking for the Cow Tipper burger from Dogma, but to no avail).

What a great game by the team save a spell in the second.

It's frustrating to watch most teams flip it out when they're in trouble but the Jets still haven't learned to just relieve the pressure. The first time it led to a penalty and the first blues goal, and the second goal was a direct result of a failed clear as well.

If I was the Jets coaches I'd have the team on the ice in practice for 2 hours flipping pucks high and out over and over.

The D was really good for most of the game.

If copp could shoot the puck he'd have a bunch by now but 2 gwgs against the cup champs is nothing to sneeze at.

Jets have a chance to creep back into the picture over the next week if they keep playing like this

Here's some 90s cheese from the Rick Dees show to describe our current situation, as well as to fully illustrate the origin of the phrase "poor man's Freddie Mercury".

That looks like a real life version of when Shaggy and Scooby Doo would go to the fridge to make a sandwich, and Scooby would hold the plate, and Shaggy would fling ingredients at random and they'd just magically stack up on the plate.

Even my mouth ain't big enough to eat that thing. :P

And... is that a DONUT in the middle?

Love the way our young guys were playing tonight.
That third line is really working well together but we all know what happens as soon as Lowry is healthy. Roslovic completely changes the dynamics of that line.
Lowry centering a 4th line with extra minutes would be just fine with me.

After some research, looks like that burger is from a California place called Mother's Tavern.

And it is actually called The Cow Tipper!

Copp just doesn't have the finish. He's just fine adding secondary offense and being solid defensively on the third line

I don't know why you say he can't 'finish'. If the line is generating more shots and better quality than giving up that's all that matters. In this case you'd have Connor/Ehlers with the finishing.

Connor at the beginning of the year was in the top 5-10 of xG generation (but just couldn't finish). But hell, lets just dwell on Copp not being able to finish.

Not impressed with Scheifele and Connor at the end there. They got on the ice with 1:55 remaining and stayed on for exactly a minute and a half. They had two perfect opportunities to change and didn’t. Selfish play with an empty net.
Helle was fantastic and the team worked hard for this win.
