FYI 4th straight year a Florida team is playing for the Stanley Cup. My prediction the Florida Panthers will be the next Tampa Bay. So I guess that means we will have at least two more consecutive appearances after this year.

Reminds me of 1990's college football where they used to say the National Championship runs through the state of Florida. Canes, Noles, and Gators were all dominant.

Amazing night. Was sitting in the stands prepping for a 2 AM game winner after 4 OTs, then Tkachuk and his crazy patience said he wanted to go home and the Prince of Wales trophy was going home with us.

Great game to be at, phenomenal atmosphere…we’re going to the Finals fellas!!!

27 years and back again. Can’t put into worlds how many memories of 96 this run has brought back, made me feel like I’m getting swept up in Cats hype for this first time, again.
This team has somehow evolved and forged themselves in each round, going from some desperation hockey in R1, to shutdown and team D in rd 2 and bow putting those together to sweep the Canes. To be here from how rocky the regular season was with uncertainty that they would even make it past the reg season to being on the cusp of greatness.

One more round, one more Goliath to slay. In the name of the Holy 16 Hatter, the 23 Series Ender and our Savior in 19. LFG

Ah the ol’ 24” craftsman push broom I see.

This is the best. Time to roll up Vegas in their cheap ass, bullshit, red carpet.

Keep it movin’ fellas and do the southerners proud!

Everyone talking like Vegas is going to outscore us on the mainboard. People tend to forget that we can match offense with the best of them. Only reason we scored less in this series is that we took Carolinas gameplan and used it against them.
Wonder what those posters think about “Baston is gonna outscore Panthers” and “Toronno is gonna outscore Panthers”. Wonder if they wonder why they didn’t. And now the Canes.

Oh, of course! We’re lucky, multiple times in a row!

Really happy for you guys.

Proud of the leadership on the team for making the decision to take the trophy.

I don't care what anybody says, getting there is a hell of an accomplishment, and it should never be overlooked for a dumb superstition.

In my most recent memory it’s the Lightning who said screw it, we’re picking up the trophy, and they went on to win the SC.

Just from what I know, Messier grabbed it in '94 and the Rangers won the Cup. So did Stevens in '95 and Sakic in '96. Before that, I'm pretty sure Lemieux touched it both times

Yzerman took it upon himself to not touch it in '97 and that became the thing, pretty much ignoring all the years prior.

I could see the superstition/tradition if nobody ever did it but it was pretty much universally touched until 1997.

Ironically, wasn’t Yzerman still with the Bolts during the bubble, and they picked up the trophy anyway?
