Brodie has been the Leafs best player thus far. Bunting would be a close second. The Leaf stars are not getting it done....again, although from Matthews first game, he is going to be awesome.

Brodie is not flashy or anything like that and barely noticeable. But he gets the job done and very dependable defensively.

Engvall has turned into a give away machine. Kerfoot is overpaid by 3.5 million.

Campbell 100%. If he could give you 50-60 games the Leafs' floor would be the 2 seed in the division. Every game Campbell played the Leafs had a shot at winning and he made huge saves. Easily Dubas' best trade.

No doubt that Brodie has started off his second season with the team in a solid fashion. Not absolutely certain that I'd say he's even been the team's best blueliner though (Rielly?). I'd go with Nylander for best forward. Campbell has arguably been the best player considering he even appeared in relief of Mrazek in what otherwise should have been a game off for him. Tough not to view Bunting as being tops in terms of value.

Umm Nylander is getting it done
 
I love Brodie, he had a bit of an off game in the loss to Ottawa

Nylander looks great
I actually think Reilly has looked alright
Bunting
Campbell (of course)

I think this team will pick up steam, so early I'm not jumping to good or bad conclusions but I'm fine with this start

He's been good but Mo has been fantastic.

That season he got 20 goals and was like 2nd in D scoring was the worst thing that could have happened to him.

He gets shat on because people think he's an elite, all-around #1 D like a Hedman or a Doughty, instead of being satisfied with what he really is; a great #2 who can handle number one details.

For what it's worth, he was also easily the best D in the Montreal series.

Campbell and Willy have been the best Leafs so far.

Muzzin and Holl have not been good, excellent lazy hooking penalty Muzzin took in the dying minutes of the last game, and Holl has looked like what he probably is, a #5 who can occasionally play short stretches on the second pair.
