Bigger choke in the first round?

Biggest choke?

The Avs GM fumblef***ing a trade doesn't equate to a choke job in game 7. No matter how badly you want to force a narrative
They were up 2 goals late in the third period and lost in regulation. It’s a pretty bad choke, even without considering who scored the goals.

1.6 sec left to advance to the next round..

Why does it have to be a choke and not miracle play from the winning team? Why are you so negative? I just finished watching some of the greatest hockey in a long time, and now it's a choke?

Has to be us. Up 2-0, then have the superstar you traded away absolutely torch you to win the series. On top of that you set a sports record for consecutive game 7 losses. This will haunt our franchise much like Roy’s Statue of Liberty play.

But at least you weren’t up a goal with 1.6 seconds left.

Or up 2-0 in the series against the team that’s knocked you out three straight years and leading in the third period of two straight games with the chance to take command of the series.

Avs against the Stars is the only correct answer.

The Jets were the President's Trophy winners. They were expected to win.

I know the Stars were better too but their 2 best players were injured and didn't even play.

Blues...

Less than 3 min and you lead by 2 goals....
Also 1.6 seconds left is a killer.

St. Louis then had another 37 min to score one more on the worst playoff goalie of all time and all they could manage was 9 low quality shots.

Colorado's choke was also bad but I like to tip my hat off to great performances. You tip your hat to Mikko and move on. No such epic performance by Winnipeg.

I’d say the Kings.

Colorado and St. Louis choked in a Game 7 for various reasons. However the series at large was on a needle’s edge the whole time. The choke was purely a specific thing from the last game of the series.

LA, on the other hand, choked an entire series away. Few people would say that LA wasn’t at minimum the better team in Games 1 through 3 and likely in 4 as well. They had taken a 2-0 series lead although nearly choking Game 1 away. However Game 2 made it look like Edmonton was dead after their failed theatrics in Game 1. Then came Game 3 where they dominated through 2 periods only to go full Alamo mode in the 3rd and double down with a ridiculous challenge. They had Edmonton in a headlock seeing stars and not only let go but offered them some tea, light snacks and gun for their trouble. Game 4 was just Game 3 but without the challenge. Then by Games 5&6 Edmonton had fully recovered from their early blunders and took the refreshments and weapon LA gave them and shot them before walking away after 6. They had a 2-0 lead in a series and somehow failed to make it 7 games. That’s bonkers.

It does, but I think something that plays into it is the Jets were just the better team to be entirely honest.

The Stars were without their best player in Heiskanen and their second best forward in Robertson down 2-0 with 12 minutes to go against a team that just looked outright superior.

I hate this choke talk. The Jets just played like heroes, I can't put my finger on any particular mistake that the Blues made.

We just saw two of the most memorable comebacks in playoff history and some people want to turn it into a negative story.
Nope sorry not letting the Blues get away with this, they were up two with 2 minutes left in a game 7 and lost, that's 1000% a choke

People saying the Blues are out of their minds. They weren't even expected to make the PLAYOFFS this year, let along be in a Game 7 Double OT against the President's Cup Winner.

It's gotta be the Kings or the Avs for me, two teams with legit Cup aspirations who just fell apart under pressure.

colorado bc they traded their entire draft capital and farm.

blues were never suppose to be here and have been trash 6on5 all year long. didnt make a single move at the deadline.

so my pick goes to LA because they did it 4 years in a row

kings didn't seem to choke, just a series of terrible coaching decisions. jets got a miracle with 2 seconds left and then the best goalie in the league remembered how to play. avs got bit in the ass by some monkey paw cosmic karma.

tampa is the only team that choked, vote tampa 2025!

How is anyone voting for Blues? Yea they blew the last game but Winnipeg deserved to win and Winnipeg was the favourite at home. They gave the Jets everything they had, and by that I mean Hellebuyck had serious money on them.
Up 2 with minutes left in the game, what do you mean how is anyone voting for that?

McDrai beat a healthy Dallas team in 6. Yes they didn’t have Rants, but according to most of HF this Oiler team is worse than last years.

Makar and MacK couldn’t beat a team without a top 3 dman in the world and one of their best forwards. They were cup favourites by most on here.

All time choke job for the most overrated team in a long time.
