that's what a coach is for, they run the practice.

good coaches don't have a magical system or some wealth of knowledge other coaches don't have, they get their teams to execute.

Scoring is so wack though. I think we are still wired to think of 1 ppg guys as elite, when in reality you don't even need to be a true star to hit those numbers anymore.

Probably his best game of the season, but man, I wish he didn't take himself out of the play as a legitimate threat to shoot the puck, Team needs to create some chaos in front of the net, any shot on net can do that. Way too much perimeter passing that's leading to turnovers.

It will come. If he can dial in his accuracy a bit and gains some confidence it will make him a dual threat to shoot or pass.

Right now he shoots high and wide way too often. Wants to pick a corner but just needs to hit the net to start.

The whole team is guilty of overpassing on the perimeter and missing the net when they do shoot.

No literally there are 192 top 6 spots in the league. That’s what defines top 6, not an arbitrary standard.

It's not a demand it's an opinionated assessment lol. Of course anything is possible.

I'm glad Stu is producing at the level he is. I think that was expected of him given the offensive talent surrounding him and what he was drafted to do.

He could falter this year and still break out or he could take longer to blossom like Mackinnon. But steady linear progression is probably a surer sign of continued improvement into elite territory.

That would mean he’s basically a top line player.

Tim has been getting better & more noticeable as the season has been progressing IMO. Even though the Sens were 4-2 at one point, I thought Tim was rather unnoticable early on this season. Seemed like the puck was bouncing on him more and he didn't seem to have the puck as much as you'd like him to have it. Perhaps that was a byproduct of having a healthier lineup (Norris, etc).

He's still making his mistakes and over-doing things at times, but I'd say he's been far more noticeable the last 5 or so games and his production lines up with that. He's not perfect but he's got a significant lead on u21 scoring and I think he's progressing at a nice rate early on. Hoping this progress continues.

If last season and early-on this season is an indication of anything, Stutzle is an athlete who gets better and more into game shape as the season gets going.

No matter how hard you train in the off-season, there is no better way to getting acclimated to game pace & rhythm than actually playing the games and Timmy might be that kinda player.

Production isn't always a sign of progression though. It can be but there's too much variance where players can improve and it doesn't always show up in offensive output. I don't think its fair to place a number on any player and say they need to meet it to be on track.

It's a little more fair to compare him against his contemporaries than the entire league at age 20.
