I think there is a deal to be had with Edmonton or Colorado. I wouldn't mind making a deal or two to change the chemistry a bit. Obviously not trading away any future, but I think there are some deals to be made.

I'm sure both teams would be happy with any one of our D men (clitsome excluded)

Here are some of my thoughts.
LLW - I like Little's hustle, what you see is what you get with him. One thing I cant figure out is how a guy like Ladd has such good hands around the net but such terrible hands away from it, his passes are worse than Kanes. And Wheeler, he seriously needs to learn how to go to the net from Ladd. On that battle in front Little is getting cross check in the crease and Wheeler is standing off to the side digging at the puck with his stick, use your 6'5 frame you moron.
Kane line - Love Kane and Burmi, these guys are going to be beauties.
Line 3 - Oli needs to move up or he'll be wasted.
Line 4 - Same old, work hard don't get much ice, Wright was good and then got benched.
I like Bogo, Buff looked a little off and Postma and Redmond are good prospects but still make some errors in their own zone. Stuy is a beaut.
Pavs, first two no chance, third he shouldve had.
Good effort, off to the next one.

If this team is still playing like this near the deadline I'm all for some big trades. A season and a half is long enough I think...

The Jets sit in 28th position in the entire league. Should we do something drastic to shake up our lineup or ride it out and see what happens?

i wouldn't be upset if we landed Seth Jones lol

It would be a terrible move as you end up with just an excess of D where you either have elite D-men playing #5-6 minutes or you are desperately running around the league looking for a trade partner. If Chevy is in the position in top 3 and drafts Jones with all the quality forwards available there should be calls for him to get fired.

good analysis, didn't think wright deserved to be benched he was playing well, better than tangridi who should have sat. Noel 's moves starting to bother me

Other than the Tampa Bay game, none of these games have been blowouts. The Jets are able to toe with anybody in the league, but aren't necessarily dominant when they should be. I feel this team is close to turning the corner in terms of actually winning games, so I'm willing to let this play a few more weeks until Chevy decides to start selling people.

Trade Olli, Hainsey, Antropov(spelling) and Wellwood for picks and bring in some young ones from St. John's and let them have a taste of NHL. And for the love of ****ing god, do something with our first round pick this year.

this is a good point

its a lot of rough edges; its not like they are absolutely putrid or crumbling apart

its just tons and tons of rough edges, in combination

Yeah....I don't think Jones makes it past first pick regardless of who is picking last. You don't address current needs through the draft. Pick the one who will be the most impactful player.

what happen to those jets who would just crash the net? I wonder if wheeler is ever going to pick up his game.......

starting to wonder if early and late season wheeler of last year is the real wheeler and if his strong play in the middle of the season was just a fluke.

Could you imagine trading Oli for a first rounder and picking something like 3, 25 and 33. That would be a fun draft day!
At the risk of pointing out the obvious, who on earth would give up a first round pick for Jokinen? Especially since this isn't 2006.

ask noel why wright got benched despite some strong play

Because teams who are trying to score or keep a close game close do not usually play their 4th lines a lot. He may not have felt that line was playing well. He also was putting the Burmistrov line out there a lot (and rightfully so). You still need to put your other scorers out there. The ice time has to come from somewhere. It's not exactly rocket science.

No I'm obviously not saying the 4th line should have played more, I'm saying wright shiould have been rewarded by moving up to the third line in tangridis spot who did little tonight

but that's Noel, younger players are never rewarded and veteran's mistakes are excused

It should be pretty clear why Wright got benched. Both he and Slater got caught puck watching and didn't take the middle drive away on the PK. I was openly singing Wright's praises the first 2 periods but after that goal
