I paid $108 for two 300 level tickets (decent section and rows) for the Sens Canucks game, on a Saturday night. Thought it was a great deal.

I think people in Ottawa are inherently cheap.

And that’s fine - a lot of Ottawa fans can’t write off their expenses at the game for tax purposes.

Inflation and food costs don’t help right now.

But even if they charged less for tickets, that Tim Horton’s line will still be three times as long as anywhere else.

It's the only place in the arena that isn't overpriced compared to prices outside the arena. That being said, I wouldn't pay anything for a Tim Hortons product these days.

There’s only 4 Tim Hortons in the building, and almost every other concession besides Tim Hortons sells beer, so the lines are more evenly distributed.

Tim Hortons doesn't mark up the concessions.

I don't know if it's the exact same as a regular Tim Hortons because I don't go regularly, but it seems pretty close.

Yeah, I get my Tuesday newsletter, Sens Tidbits, and they have links to buy tickets. Cheapest seat for Home Opener is 58$ and they have so many for the Kings game starting at 43. If they have a strong game Thursday, I might go to the Thanksgiving game

We will be checking out a couple of tourist places between games. I am wondering if someone could give any tips on the logistics between travelling from the airport to the arena and the arena to the city proper.

Are there hotels near the arena? Are there shuttles or buses that go from the downtown to the arena?

Lieutenants Pump & Senate both run relatively inexpensive busses to and from games. They are both located downtown, but in different areas of downtown.

There are a number of new hotels within walking distance to the Canadian Tire Centre. Both are only a couple of years old. Microtel Inn & suites and Wingate Hotel both by Wyndham. Uber is the way to go if you want to head downtown. You could also just rent a car at the airport. Ottawa is fairly easy to get around.

Glebe central pub runs a shuttle too. It’s about ~$15.

Alumni accounts don't work.

So it turns out I couldn't get tickets and got a phone call from a sales manager because I tried to use my student email (which they could tell wasn't active). I was still able to get discounted tickets for the Seattle game in the upper 300s. DM me and I can forward oyu the email address of the person who got us the alumni code for the discounted tickets ($50 for the upper 300s after fees)
