Look at all the first row seats available. Their pricing is ultimately going to have to change. They can start by yanking out the TVs.

I don't think they are going to change their pricing structure because they have ~70 seats available. They'll sell eventually. Personally, I agree with everyone who thinks they are overpriced, and that's why I'm dropping mine. But the Rangers think it's a premiere ticket, despite the fact there is no waiter service, the glass is a distraction, the TVs kill the legroom, the concourses are a disaster, and most people who are looking to spend $300/pair want to be downstairs.
The center row 1's are $165 and almost all sold. The corner 1's are $135 and have many unsold. People in NYC will always pay a premium for the best. The center are the best, the corner are not. They will have to adjust those downward I think
You can continue to move around from the time of your appointment until the process ends. But others will enter the process and seats tend to disappear pretty quickly.after you select something you cant move again right?
For the Row 1s to be valuable to season ticket holders, MSG will need to change the way they can be posted on TicketsNow, StubHub etc. Right now, the casual single-ticket buyer does not search for those seats, and sees them offered in a list of all seats in the bigger section (e.g. all of Sec 225 is lumped together). It's really hard to make your money back on Row 1 seats during the regular season (and I struggled to break even on them even during the playoffs). I dumped mine in the middle of Section 225 on Thursday morning and they are still available, so the "smart money" subscribers have figured this out.
Barring that, MSG will be stuck using them either as "forced" entry tickets for new subscribers or selling them as single game seats. Which, as pointed out, may not be a bad economic decision for Jimbo and friends.
I know for a fact this is not true, at least on TicketsNow. I posted several games last season at my face value and couldn't sell them. And I totally understand why, given someone opening their browser and looking for tickets a week or two forward would see my seats for $180/seat (including the "convenience fee" TN tacks on) and seats one or two rows behind me for ~$100/seat. There's no description of the benefits of the Row 1s on there - personal TVs, improved legroom, perfect sightlines with no obstructions ever, etc. Those Row 1 seats are overpriced as heck on StubHub. It's getting impossible for a "casual" ticket buyer (what does that even mean) to be able to buy tickets fairly priced. People see the Row 1 prices, and skip them right away. They were going for $250+ a pop last season.
Looks like theres about 30 seats total left in the $53-$56 range. 4 of them are right behind me![]()
I'm in 222 row 10. I have been looking for something in 222-226 between row 3 and 9 and it never turned up. I had this optimistic view I move move anywhere I wanted to.
I know everyone talks about row 14+ being blocked out from the bridges, but I really believe they will be in play for row 10. My guess is when I tilt my head up at a 45* angle the bridges will be right there.
The bright side is that those "center" sections (222 and 226 are actually outside of center, but still kinda center) are in high demand which should translate in to the secondary market.
Theres row 2 in 219 and row 4 in 220 that I have my peripheral vision on. I dont think I have the guts to make the move.

Sorry to post the question again, but does anyone know when the upgrade process is over?
Not sure if the upgrade will still be going on, but I have an appointment 7/11 for selecting seats (did not renew, so technically not upgrading) -- this is before they go on sale to "the general public" as they say.
Were you a 1/2 season or mini-plan subscriber last year?
